A video of the water going in. I cant wait to see Mickey's Fun Wheel with its new lighting reflecting on the water. Along with the movement from the new swings.

Some info from BlueSkyDisney. Basically the lagoon may not be fully filled until early Nov. Possible soft openings in late March.

The whole thing is at the link below with the WOC spot quoted below. Also massive amounts of walls headed to DCA come Jan. 2010. Taking over Sunshine Plaza(Buena Vista Street), Hollywood Pictures Backlot(for the Red Car Trolleys), Mulholland Madness(Goofy's Sky School), Burger Invasion/Pizza Oom Mow Mow/SS Rustworthy (Paradise Gardens), and currently Orange Stinger (Silly Symphonies Swings) and Golden Dreams/Souvenir 66/Corn Dog Castle (The Little Mermaid). Thats going to be a massive amount of walls.

As I mentioned earlier about WOC, it's going to be an amazing show, but a monster for the park to deal with. We're talking around a hundred cast members to control everything and show itself is going to finally create a permanent problem for DCA... crowds. Not that it hasn't had them periodically, but it's never had them on a consistent basis. Come next year, it will be a common site during the week when World of Color is playing to see guest all throughout the park. If you've been to the park recently you've noticed that the water has finally started flowing into the pier again. It won't be completely covered until early November because the crews working on the area want to make sure all the hoses, electronics and such are fine before being submerged.

After technical issues are settled it will go beneath the water never/rarely to be seen by guests again. In late January to early February is when they'll start to have several test for the show. These will be primarily for cast members so that they can gauge how it's working in front of an audience. In late March there will be soft openings for the general public and then come late April it's supposed to premiere for all the Disney world to see. That, my friends, is when we finally see a glimpse of this new park and the beginning of a new Disney Resort. Thankfully. It took about a decade, but we're finally going to get it.

Al Lutz had mentioned a month or so ago that the specific weekend of April 25th, 2010 was going to be the big grand premiere for World of Color. This should be MASSIVE for DCA and Disneyland Resort as a whole!

But my gosh, DCA is going to be completely torn up this winter! It's already a park full of walls, but even more are on the way after Christmas! I've said this before, but this level of massive construction/demolition/remodeling is totally unprecedented in the history of Disney Parks, if not the theme park industry as a whole.

THIS..... IS..... MASSIVE!

Exactly. Tells you how much differently they should have done things, perhaps.

They are basically re-building the entire park while parts of it are opening and functioning.

Is that bad show?:lookaroun:lol:

While this is true, they're not exactly tearing down the entire park. at least I hope they won't! Except for BVS and Carsland, they're just massively improving what's already there. As someone who's loved DCA from the beginning, all the new stuff that's coming makes me feel like a little kid on christmas morning. :D Lots of great stuff to look forward to.

Really? The lighthouses scream "lame attempt at theming RIGHT HERE!!!" to me, but I like the idea. And I always like projector bubbles. Well, any sort of bubble, really.

VERY nice. :D I had thought that the Lighthouses looked a little "warm" in color scheme, but the water works great against that. LOVE it.

yeah, the colors do balance out nicely :) speaking of the water.. i'm hoping it they add the dark blue dye it had before. some have speculated that the water will have more a green tint like RoA - hopefully that won't be the case.

On a separate note, this picture from the update shows the latest progress of the interactive fountain as well as the stage.

Well they had to hide all those projectors somewhere. Without those lighthouses there would be no show.
