You want to know the funny part? Sometimes I read your posts and think
"Oh, gawd, we're probably jinxing EPCOT Explorer and the first Disneyland trip is going to be a disaster, from the Alaska stewardess who can't make Disneyland out through the clouds, to the horrific ride evacuation with frazzled CM's at Pirates of the Caribbean, to the sudden unplanned rehabs for Matterhorn and Indiana Jones, to the cancelled fireworks due to Santa Ana Winds, to the crabby woman at the exit gates of Disneyland who uses her stroller as a weapon"
But when you do visit Disneyland for the first time, try for a flight into John Wayne, with Long Beach or Ontario as a second choice. Delta flies into John Wayne, as does Continental and United, but I don't think we have AirTran service out here west of the Rockies. I've only seen that airline when I'm travelling back east.
My new favorite airline from John Wayne is Virgin America, as it's like a sleek ultra-lounge in the sky with very attractive cabin staff and mood lighting and seatback videos and MP3's and swanky hors d 'ouvres and custom cocktails served at 30,000 feet.
Virgin America is in direct competition with Alaska Airlines here on the West Coast now. By 2012 I imagine Virgin America will fly to more cities back east.
