Wii...

That might actually help cure obesity in America. I always wanted to make a recumbent bike that you could attach a game system to and have it to where the game system will not work unless you are pedaling. I bet I could be down to 12% body fat from Halo 3 alone.

There's a childs bike thing kinda like that. I can't remember what it's called. It was new for this Christmas season.

Yes, Zelda is game that once you have played it and finished it, it tends to just sit on the shelf and not be played for a long time. You can only defeat the final boss and watch the cinemas so many times, lol. Definitely not all in a row either.
We bought it for our GC about a year ago. We got totally into it, then life started getting more busy. We have yet to finish it. I wonder if it would be hard to pick back up... I'm not sure I remember what we were doing last we palyed.

Try it sometime, why not? Since you havent finished it yet, at least there will be something for you to look forward to. Which version is it?? It might be a little hard to pick it up where you left off, but once you get the flow you're golden.

While they're wiggling around on a pad, Xbox is making great games...

Right, we get it. You don't like the Wii. I don't like Xbox, but I'm not going to go into an Xbox thread and trash talk it. It's not contributing anything helpful to the thread.

Why do people have the XBox/Wii war? They're not even the same animal!

If you want to have an XBox/PS3 war...fine. Both have hard drives, play extremely "realistic" games, have next-gen DVD players and are basically just glorified video game systems.

The Wii is pushing the envelope (something neither of the other two systems have done).

Nintendo came out with the GameBoy...biggest handheld to date...and it wasn't because it had the best graphics, or sound (remember the Atari Lynx...better graphics, Sega Game Gear...better graphics, Sega Nomad...better graphics, still...nothing surpassed the brilliance of the Game Boy.) Now...the DS. It doesn't have better graphics or sound than the PSP...but guess what, who's winning the war? Why is it winning the war? Ease of use, anybody can pick it up and play it...and, it's FUN!

The Wii is DIFFERENT! it's the FIRST OF ITS KIND! What can XBox and Playstation say? Oh, I have a Blu-Ray player! Umm, who cares...that's like buying a Playstation because it could play DVD's. Anybody who does that is just buying a very basic Blu-Ray player...not one even worth having...because it's more of a hassle than any other Blu-Ray player on the market.

Anybody can pick up the Wii and play it without having a huge learning curve. Guess what...I bet you will start to see the obesity level in the US drop due to the Wii. If a study was done with kids that have XBox's, PS3's, and Wii's...I bet the majority of the kids with the Wii aren't as obese as the ones playing the other systems.

I'll be the first one to admit that the Nintendo games aren't as in depth and realistic as the other systems. That, to me, is a positive. I don't want realism when I'm trying to escape reality. I have Tiger Woods '08 for the Wii but if they came out with Mario Golf, Tiger Woods would still be on the shelf. As far as games go, it's all a matter of taste...but comparing the Wii to the XBox is like comparing an apple to a milky way. Sure, they are both food and you can eat them for a snack...but the apple is a lot healthier for you and there are many ways to enjoy it...the Milky Way tastes great and comes in a great looking package...but leaves you wanting more afterwards.

We got one for Christmas, but sold it on e-bay for about $400.
We are just too busy to get into playing it.
We'll just stick w/ our PS2 for now.

I loves my Wii. :p Paid a bit more for it, because since Nintendo doesn't have an official representation down here, it's actually more expensive than a PS3. :( Anyways, I've got Zelda and Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
On Zelda, I was about 75% complete when I had the misfortune of saving on a room that I wasn't supposed to save. There's a bug, and the game locked up, so I have to start all over, and I still haven't mustered the "pleasure" to do it...
On Marvel, since I'm playing with my brother, and he can only play once a week, if that, we just started Act 4.
And a friend of mine lent me Rayman 1, which is a very, very fun game. I've also played Wario, which was fun, but I really wouldn't buy it.
As for the wish list, there's Simpsons, Zack & Wiki, LEGO Star Wars, Mario Galaxy, Guitar Hero and, of course, Smash Bros.
And just in case anyone still remembers the elusive MKCustodial, here's my Wii number: 3437 7175 0643 2908.

 THAT GAME ROCKED!

The Virtual Console is half the fun, and I finally, FINALLY, have Toe Jam & Earl!! I used to rent all the time, and even "acquired" it from a friend back in the day, but never actually had it. I also got Super Mario 1 and Elevator Action (LOVE that). There are tons others that I want, but I gotta take it easy with the dollars. :lookaroun

Yeah, so I hear. Now I gotta wait for someone to travel. Amazon doesn't ship games internationally, and down here, a 50 bucks game costs about 130. :brick:
