Check with your internet service provider to see if they have a wireless modem available. If you already get your modem from them, you may be able to have them swap it out, then you wouldn't need the router. I have Verizon as my provider and the modem I got from them was wireless and the Wii is able to contact it without any additional equipment.

 The Wii can get online?

I have a wireless setup at my house...how do you log online with the Wii? Do I need an attachment for the Wii console?

Just go into the Wii settings - it has Wi-Fi built in

I have Mario Galaxy, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Wii Sports, and Super Monkeyball.

I've been absolutely hooked on Mario since I got it the week after christmas. I do want to get Mario Party too.

I have to play and finish Call of Duty 4 and Mass Effect for the XBox 360 first though before I buy any more games....I finished Bioshock right before christmas.

We have a Wii and LOVE it! We have Super Mario Galaxy, but I have not tried it yet. The kids really like it though.

We have fun paying against each other on Wii Sports.

We bought the Wii last April - and at the time, they weren't hard to get at all. I wonder why there's a huge demand now...?

Of course we have Wii Sports. Love it! DH almost broke my arm twice with his backhand in tennis. We also have Wii Play (we bought it for the extra Wiimote, it's not the best game, but it's alright), Mario Party, Mario Galaxy and Lego Star Wars.

It's a perfect game system for us. Every week, we have a group of at least 10 or so people over for a church small group, and after our discussion/study we play the games. It's a huge hit! I make sure everyone had their wrist strap on tight because we have the Wii set up on our very nice television. We also have Guitar Hero on Playstation2 set up in the other room. It's just a fun night all around!

All you need is a wireless conection and your passcode. Go under setting or something like that and it will walk you through it. Once you've downlaoded what you need for it, there will be an Internet option to click on in your Wii menu. Then you can send e-mails to friends, exchange Miis, download older video games, surf the net, etc.

My son loves the Lego Star Wars! We also have Spiderman, Pirates, Big Brain Acadamy, My Sims, Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports, Thrillville, and High School Musical Sing It.

Star Wars was the most recent one we bought. It's just me and DH at home, so it's a perfect 2-player game for us!

What do you think of the Pirates game?

I have Lego Star Wars for the DS and I LOVE it! I didn't even realize they had one for the Wii.

Is it a combination of both Lego Star Wars or just the second one? Is it multiplayer? (preferably 4 players). :) I think I know my next purchase!!!

I'm not familiar with an other version of it, so I'm not sure how they compare. The one we have for the Wii is a one- or two-player game that takes you through about six chapters of each of the six episodes. It follows the movies pretty much to a "T!" We're only on Episode 2, but it's very fun!

The first time you play each chapter, you are a designated character. But once you pass it, you can go back and play as any character you wish. Right now, DH likes playing as Darth Maul.

I have a wii I got one before all the rush to buy one. I love it so much, I have a few games on it Mario vs Sonic olympics is hilarious especially when playing with friends. I have a 360 as well, the 360 beats it on graphics but the Wii beats it on fun level

I like Pirates. When fighting with your sword, you have to swing the remote like you are doing a sword.

This one just came out this past fall ( I believe). It's a combo of all six Star Wars. This game was the reason my son wanted a Wii. lol

What movements do you need to use the Wiimote for in the Lego Star Wars?

Do you actually swing the lightsaber by swinging the Wiimote? Do you shake the Wiimote to build things? To move...do you use the Nunchuk or the Wiimote?

Pirates sounds intriguing too! (I never liked video games based on the "popular movie of the month" because they seemed rushed and you don't get a great game because of it). Transformers is a prime example.

I've downloaded a few older games. So far I've gotten "Metroid," "The Legend of Zelda(Original)," "Ice Climbers," "Castlevania," "Ghosts n' Goblins," "Ninja Gaiden," one of the "Kirby" games and "Kid Icarus." I'm hoping they eventually add either "Ghengis Khan" or "Nobunaga's Ambition" to the list. I think I remember seeing one of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" games, but I prefer the other two over that series.

Answers to your last three questions:
Yes.
Yes. Though just pressing Z uses the force and can build things, moving both the Wiimote and nunchuck makes you build things faster.
You move with the nunchuck.

Though you can use buttons to swing the lightsaber, it's more fun to do the arm motion. Some character have guns, which is used by just pressing a button.

I've found the chapters in which you are in a flying vehicle rather confusing. It wouldn't say it's hard, but with so much going on it's hard to see and understand what you're doing.

I haven't set up an account yet. (You have to do that first, right? And buy a certain amount of "points" which you can use to get the games?) But i really want to get "Toe Jam and Earl." My brother and I used to spend hours playing that silly game. :o

So you'd recommend it overall? How many players is it? Does it follow all three movies?
I don't play games often, so I'm probably not a one to recommend games. I like it, but I'm not sure what big time gamers think of it.

It is the Pirates of the Caribbean at Worlds End, but there is one part from the second movie where he's in the coffin, using the bone as a paddle.

We got one for Christmas as well. The kids love it as does my wife and I. However, I think I am getting a mild case of Wii elbow. :p

Brian - what is your take on the Tiger Woods game? I have heard it is really difficult to get the hang of.

My kids just bought the High School Musical game and they want Crash Bash. Crash has been very hard to find.

Tiger Woods is not that difficult. There are settings you can change to make it easier or more difficult.

When you are playing a multiplayer match, it is very common to drive the ball 320+ yards and to get birdies, eagles, even the occassional hole in one. When you are doing the actual tour, it gets tough.

The Wii controls aren't perfect yet. I've noticed that sometimes when I just go for a simple chip...it'll go to max power for that club. It really depends on the amount of follow-through and if your wrist is twisting while you swing. Don't get me wrong, the controls are VERY CLOSE...just not perfect.

Putting is awesome.

It's probably the most addictive game I have for the Wii.

How similar is it to the golfing on Wii Sports?
