Sega Superstars Tennis looks like it could be interesting...although, with this title coming out, it almost guarantees that we won't see a Mario Tennis.

I posted this in the Smash Brothers thread in the Video Games section, but it turns out that Smash Brothers now won't be released until March 9th.

Bri, have you figured out how to get online? Founf your Wii Code yet?

Hehe, I haven't tried...I've been really busy. I'll try it out next week and I'll post it here.

I have a question...

If you have...say...Smash Brothers...and you have your friend's code...can you punch in your friend's code and play him/her if he/she doesn't have Smash Brothers?

I'm assuming it doesn't work that way but I'm only asking because when you use the DS, only one player needs to have the cartridge if you are using the WiFi in a common area.

Yeah, but with the DS if the other person doesn't have the game, they get the stripped down version. With Mario Kart, that means the only character the other person can play as is ShyGuy. I think with the Wii, you both have to have the game.

When Smash Brothers and Mario Kart come out for the Wii, we should try to set up some tournaments for people on WDWMagic with those games. Could be a lot of fun.

Smash bros just got delayed another month....:fork:

Yes. I read that a few days ago. But looking at the information for the game, I think it will be worth the wait. All I know is, I'm glad I paid it off completely already so I don't have to think about whether I'll have the money for it when it comes out or not.

Oh that would be a blast!

What other games can you use for online play?

Most, if not all, of the sports games. Guitar Hero III has online play. Pokemon Battle Revolution(hey, you asked). And I'm sure there are others that I don't have or haven't played that do as well.

Edit: Just remember to make sure your Wiimote has enough battery charge before you do. I finally tried Madden 08 online and with less than 30 seconds left in the 4th quarter... tie game 27-27 between the Patriots(Me) and the Colts, my battery died and I lost connection to the game. :brick::brick::brick:

Quick question guys.....Can I hook up a Wii using an HDMI cable? I am going to buy an HDMI switch today and I am trying to figure how many ports I will need to cover future expansion.

You will not get 1080p with the Wii. I believe it's only 420p. There is no HDMI with the Wii.

EDIT: Rumor has it that it WILL have it...along with a 160gb Hard Drive...but currently does not.

The best cable you can get for the Wii is a componet cable. I purchased one online for less than 8 bucks including shipping. It makes a sizable difference if you're using a hdtv.

Any word of an adaptor?

What I am trying to do is simplify my set up and a HDMI switch will do it. Right now I have 3 components in my system (Xbox 360, HD-DVD and a satellite receiver) all of which have the option HDMI output. I plan on adding at least 2 more (blu-ray and a Wii). Of course as luck would have it my TV only has 1 HDMI port so the DVD is using it and the rest go through component cables. With an HDMI switch everything can run through it and into the single HDMI port. It also avoids having to select the video input on the TV.
