When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I suspect I have broken the big toe on my left foot.
Some time yesterday, but not sure how or when.

When we were leaving for our walk yesterday, I was aware that it was hurting, but again, couldn't recall any specific injury.

I've broken enough toes over the years to know that the hospital doesn't do anything for them anymore. Heck, the last time I broke one, they didn't even X-ray it. "What if it's broken?" , I asked. "Oh it's probably broken, we just don't do anything for broken toes." They don't even recommend 'buddy-taping ' them together, as in the past.

On the plus side, I'm not working, so it's not like I have to stand for 8+ hours each day.

Sorry about your toe. If it had to happen, it's a pity it didn't happen from kicking one of those "adults" in the rear!

Well, there is a huge difference in being forced to work in the same project and working in the same company.
example.. you can work retail and still your score, job and reputation is solely based on what you do and what you pull.
in a forced "group project".. the hardworking will always be pulling the lazy Bas****.

good thing I was smart and I documented all the lazyness of my co-team.
Me and other hardworking gal ended getting our high score.. the lazy ones got 0.

It was hilarious to watch them complain to the teacher first and then to their mommies about how they did nothing yet it was unfair to get a 0!.

my Uni does not have that much variation (sources country wise.. aka 99% are mexican-born, so having people from other countries is very rare).
Note that universities that do these type of transfers between nations.. are usually in big cities like Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara.

As for size:
You could say it is large.. around 7,000 students at same time in a medium sized campus. (9 long 2 floor towers with around 25 studying halls per floor), plus the investigation towers and computer labs.

Also.. fraternities are a rarity, they have null presence in most universities.. only the "pooch hipster rich" Universities in the main cities, do have similar clubs. (aka rich kid clubs)

I guess that depends on what you do for a career. Too many careers depend on being able to adapt to other people within your team. There are always slackers that just seem to hang on. My DD University had
35,000 undergrads and over 11,000 grad students. She too hated team projects but it did teach schedules, compromise, deal with various opinions and having to go above and beyond to cover for others. It did irk her too but those who do excel it is something most have to learn to cope with. But with that many students on campus and over 1000 clubs and such she found plenty to be involved with. It worked for her.

My DS went to a small private university to start with and did not like that. Transferred to a larger public University and had a real good time, about 20K all toll.

I have one picture from FotLK that I've wanted to use so many times, but there is a woman's head in the bottom right hand corner. Otherwise it's a decent picture of one of the performers on stilts as he is "kicking" towards the audience.
Can you crop it?

Did you happen to kick one of the boys in the rump yesterday? ;)

Is it possible you injured it (maybe fractured?) in the pergola collapse and didn't realize it and then something small happened yesterday and exacerbated the injury? Hope you're sitting with your feet up eating some bon-bons. You deserve it.

Netflix is looking to pay someone to watch Netflix all day

Ploughing through your new favourite series on Netflix is something you probably enjoy doing after a working day, but what if it was your working day? You see, Netflix has a fancy recommendation engine that suggests movies and shows you might like based on your prior viewing habits. To do that successfully, it needs information from a special group of humans that goes beyond the basics like genre and user rating. "Taggers," as they're known, analyse Netflix content and feed the recommendation engine with more specific descriptors if, for example, a film is set in space or a cult classic. In short, these people get paid to watch TV all day, and Netflix is currently hiring a new tagger in the UK. There's obviously a little more to the job than binge-watching House of Cards, but will perks like working from home, flexible hours and a free Netflix subscription, you'd be mad not to throw your hat into the ring.

I'm a little confused here... how does one break a toe and not know it... immediately. Nothing I have ever experienced hurts as much as a toe injury.

Cropping it would ruin the picture IMO.

Can I just watch Sharknado all day? I'm not even sure if it's on Netflix.
