Trip Report What's going on with my clothes??

The title.

It's what I've been having the hardest time with for the last week or so. I'm not totally sold on it but I must say that it did make for a lot of laughs(at my expense of course). When I think about how much energy I've channeled to coming up with something, especially when that energy could have been put to better use( like at work or something), I decided to stick with this & move forward. Otherwise, this TR would never get started. Anyways, welcome to my very first trip report!! I'm happy with myself for finally doing one & I'm more than excited to relive our adventures & share them with you fine people!!
So, let me start by getting the introductions out of the way......

WHO: R & myself, my sister E & her son J, my sister C & her husband D & their daughters E & A

WHEN: June 18th-25th *C,D,E & A's plans were a little different than ours. They were there 6/21-7/7*

WHERE: my home away from home, POR

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 20TH(CONT.)

Our destination was the Poly!

More specifically...

Us three adults got the Lapu Lapu. I can't remember what J got but I can assure you it wasn't one of those! We grabbed some seats & waited for our friends to arrive!! When I initially told R & E about my meeting plans they both looked at me like I was a bit crazy. I explained that it is really no different than standing in line & talking to the person behind you that you've never met before. And, in this case I have met them before!! I told them they could do their thing & I could meet them for dinner later if they didn't want to go. I think curiosity got the best of them & they decided to join me!!

It was so nice to see @Tuvalu & @TrolleyFollower91 again!!

I introduced them to my family & that's when it happened. I know there have been a few references made earlier on in this TR but this is when J became hooked on Em!! I don't want to give away too many details just yet but I promise there is more to come regarding J's first crush!!
I had such a fun time talking with them. The time went by way too quickly. I don't know if you can tell but @Tuvalu is representing Pittsburgh with the Penguin earrings she is wearing!!

I received a sweet gift that I'm so excited about!!

The wrapping is as nice as the earrings!! And I'm really excited b/c you do know what is starting in 7 days right?
National Peach Month!! I will be wearing these earrings proudly representing my Georgia friends!!

@Tuvalu & @TrolleyFollower91 (much to J's dismay) had another magic meetup to get to & we had reservations coming up. I hope to be able to see them again soon!!

We still had a few minutes before our reservation so I ordered another drink. My first ever Island Sunset!! It was quite tasty!!

Our table was ready shortly thereafter & right on time!!

I have two pairs of those Nike Tanjun's! One in blue and the other in cream. They are the most comfortable shoes ever!

You're not kidding!! They are so lightweight & comfortable. They're pretty reasonably priced too!!

I absolutely LOVE the addition of mobile ordering!!!

We were looking forward to our dinner. We always enjoy the food here.

Bread--I don't eat too much of it b/c I don't want to get full on it.

Now the dumplings on the other hand....
I could eat a whole plate of those myself!!

Everything was excellent!!

The coconut race started & J actually joined in!! He's kind of shy so I was surprised that he did it. He was doing great until he came around the corner & saw us catching it on video. He got embarrassed & quit participating.

I honestly don't think we were able to finish this!! What a sin!!

After our meal we headed out to the monorail. We contemplated going back to MK for a bit but decided against it. As we were waiting for the monorail we ran into @Tuvalu & @TrolleyFollower91 again!! They told me @ajrwdwgirl was coming through security with her friend. How exciting!! Horray for an unplanned magic meet up!! I feel like it happened way too fast though. I'm so glad we got a picture together but I'm still bummed about not thinking to get one of all 4 of us together. But, @Tuvalu was right there was about 8,000 people on that platform. Anyhow, as brief as it was it was such a pleasure to meet you, @ajrwdwgirl!!! Hopefully our paths will cross again someday & we can have a chance to talk more!!
BTW--after this encounter I think the R & E were getting used to the whole idea of having "forum friends"!!

As the monorail was approaching J asked Em if she would ride on the monorail with him. She told him she would be getting off at the next stop but she would ride with him until then. He was so happy!! I made sure I got a picture. Thanks @TrolleyFollower91 for being J's buddy!! And this story does not end here. Wait until you hear what J had to say the next day!!

OHANA! I love that place!!! I am thinking about trying to grab a reservation for our August trip! I haven't yet because I was trying to cut back on too many table meals., but how can I give up those dumplings, noodles, and skewered shrimp? Plus, I miss all of my cousins!! LOL!

Love the meet-up pictures! It must be extra magical to see forum folks in person!!

I love Ohana! We always eat there twice a trip. The dumplings are my son’s favorite. He tells them not to stop bringing them until he tells them to. I am going to cry a little,this trip like I did in 2016, when they bring them. It makes me feel awful to be there without him.

They are excellent. I could be happy just eating them & nothing else!
Awww, I feel bad for you but don’t cry. Like I always tell me nieces & nephews “There’s no crying in Disney”—unless they’re happy tears!!

My vote is go for it!! I’ve been there for breakfast also & enjoyed that as well. I think dinner is better but the breakfast is good too. The characters at breakfast are a plus!

Meeting forum friends in person is a lot of fun! I’m so glad I finally stepped out of the shadows b/c meeting people really adds something special to the trip!! Speaking of that, I’ll be there in August also! Any chance of our paths crossing?

Thank you so much for all the encouragement!! I was nervous about doing this but I’m having so much fun with it!! I also have to give credit where it’s due(@Tuvalu). Had I not seen her(even though I didn’t say a word that day) & @TrolleyFollower91 for the first time I probably wouldn’t be posting!

The dessert party was fun & I’m glad we did it. You sound just like me—I won’t stake out a spot ahead of time. I’m only 5’ 2” so I’m not much taller than you but I won’t wait forever to get a good spot either.

I hope you enjoy the rest of my TR & I’m looking forward to yours(I believe you were just there)!!

We agreed to FaceTime some for special things so I can take him with me. I have only ever been once without him to WDW. I went for a day trip to Disneyland while in California in 2002 and he has never let me live that down, going without him. I know we will have a ball, but I do wish he could have just stayed at home forever.
I had read some poor reviews of ‘Ohana on here awhile back, and could not imagine it not being as good. This post made me feel much better about our 2 ressies we have in September.

FaceTime is a great idea--you got to love modern technology!! Even though he's not there physically he will be for those moments!!

2 'Ohana reservations--I'm not jealous in the least(yeah right)!! It was very good-the same as it's always been!! I don't think you have anything to be concerned about!!

Y'all, I just read a review of 'Ohana that said they replaced the potstickers with egg rolls! I will be devastated if that is a permanent change. You guys with upcoming ADRs will have to keep me informed!
