Trip Report What's going on with my clothes??

The title.

It's what I've been having the hardest time with for the last week or so. I'm not totally sold on it but I must say that it did make for a lot of laughs(at my expense of course). When I think about how much energy I've channeled to coming up with something, especially when that energy could have been put to better use( like at work or something), I decided to stick with this & move forward. Otherwise, this TR would never get started. Anyways, welcome to my very first trip report!! I'm happy with myself for finally doing one & I'm more than excited to relive our adventures & share them with you fine people!!
So, let me start by getting the introductions out of the way......

WHO: R & myself, my sister E & her son J, my sister C & her husband D & their daughters E & A

WHEN: June 18th-25th *C,D,E & A's plans were a little different than ours. They were there 6/21-7/7*

WHERE: my home away from home, POR

Here's the crew: myself, R, D, C, E(niece), E(sister), J & A

I'm finally caught up on your trip report and really enjoying it!!! J is being very brave on this trip!!! It's adorable that he has a crush on @TrolleyFollower91 ! Lucky you for setting up a meet and greet! Maybe I'll have to try that on our winter trip!

Glad the STAR WARS dessert party was a lot of fun! I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but I know it's fun for others I'm with to be around the characters!

How did J do on Pirates since it is also a pretty dark ride?
I've never stayed at POR, but it sure looks beautiful!
Thank you very much!!
At one point he said(which we knew)that he didn't like the dark & I said "Isn't your bedroom dark when you go to sleep?" He did seem to think about what I had said but it didn't change much. I think R's presence is what made him go on the dark rides. R just said something the other day about his crush on @TrolleyFollower91. He still was amazed b/c he's never seen him act that way about anyone before!

I'm not a Star Wars fan in the least but I was glad we did it for R. He really enjoyed it. We did also but I think he had a deeper appreciation for it than us! Truth be told, at this point I do like meeting Chewie. He is so cute!! Now, Kylo Ren on the other hand......

He was the same on Pirates as the other dark ones but his main concern was that he didn't want to get wet!!
I absolutely love POR. I can't wait to go back!!

Thanks for reading!!

A few more blurry SSE pictures...
IMG_2901.jpg

IMG_2903.jpg

IMG_2905.jpg

The reason for the blurry pictures. I didn't have full use of my hands!!
IMG_2910.jpg

Another dark ride means a nervous J!! If you see him with me on a dark ride here is the reason why: When we would get in line for a dark ride he would want held. If my sister told him no he immediately turned to me(he knows I give in). I would end up holding him the whole time so he would end up on the ride with me. Such was the case with SSE. So, he had his left hand on my right leg, my right arm was around him & he put his right hand on top of mine. I'm right handed so every time I went to take the picture I immediately would attempt to with my right hand. He didn't want me moving my arm/hand off of him b/c I assume that he felt more secure having it there. He asked me "Why do you have to take pictures?" And of course it had to happen, our time machine "momentarily stopped" coming back down.

I looked at the times guide & had to break the bad news to R. The British Revolution was not playing today. Last year he was disappointed that they were not playing on our first Epoct day. He said I had planned the perfect trip up until that point:rolleyes:. We ended up seeing them later in the trip. I told him this would be the same as last year. I wasn't going to happen today but we'd be back in a few days & catch it then.
IMG_2911.jpg

IMG_2912.jpg

Just a picture of Mission Space--I didn't go on this trip. E & R don't like it and I find the new one boring to say the least.
IMG_2914.jpg

Just looking around. I had wandered over to see what the single rider wait was for TT & it was 40 minutes so I passed.
IMG_2915.jpg

During that time E got our daily Starbucks fix for us.
IMG_2916.jpg

R & E calling me to see where I was. I was right in front of them & for some reason they didn't notice me!!

You are a fabulous auntie!!! No wonder J loves you!!!:happy::inlove::inlove: Way to take care of him! I wonder if you get on TEST TRACK this trip?
Thank you!!
On my way to work this morning I saw him & E leaving their house. I pulled over & got out to talk to them. J would barely say two words to me--I guess he wasn't liking me today. E said he had just got up though!
The Soarin/Test Track debacle will be coming up shortly!!

The skies looked like they were going to open at any moment so we headed into Club Cool.
IMG_2918.jpg

More often than not I don't end up stopping in here. I'm not a pop drinker & frankly the place is normally a zoo so I don't really feel the need to go in.
IMG_2919.jpg

R trying Beverly--NOT!!
IMG_2920.jpg

It was out!! I guess it's becoming popular??

My friend and I were in Epcot on the 21st, so I'm looking to see if we are in the background of any of your pictures. I haven't found us yet. ;) I made my friend try Beverly and she actually liked it. I was so disappointed, I was ready with my camera waiting for the "yuck" face and I never got it. My friend is weird!

The skies finally opened on our way to Soarin'.
IMG_2923.jpg

Can't quite remember why I took this picture.
IMG_2924.jpg

We thought J was finally tall enough to go on Soarin'. Sadly the CM who checked his height did not agree. He wasn't standing up straight & had he been I know he would have ended up getting on. E & I rode together while R stayed with J.
IMG_2926.jpg

"Limbering up for Soarin'"
I took this ridiculous picture to send to E's husband.
IMG_2927.jpg

Let me explain--
A few years ago E's husband, my sister B & I were in line for Test Track. We talked to the two women in front of us for quite awhile. All was fine until one of the women literally started stretching like she just ran a marathon. She was stretching across the hand rails all while continuing on with our conversation. It came out of nowhere & the behavior was a bit bizarre. E's husband said to me when the time was right, "What's up with the calisthenics?" We laugh about it to this day.
Earlier this year E & her husband were in Disneyland & he took a picture of E "limbering up for Soarin'" & sent it to me. Hence, the reason why I took this ridiculous picture to send to him. It just dawned on me though, why do we take these pictures in line for Soarin when this all started at Test Track???

My horrible attempt at getting a picture of everyone's favorite flight attendant.
IMG_2930.jpg

IMG_2931.jpg

E went back on Soarin' with R. J wasn't too disappointed about not being able to ride. He had some Mickey licorice to keep him happy!!
IMG_2933.jpg

We decided to eat lunch at Sunshine Seasons. I did not take notes as to what everyone had but this was my choice.
IMG_2934.jpg

This was EXCELLENT!!

That would be neat if you were in any of them but also a bummer if we were that close & didn't know it!!

She liked Beverly?? Wow, I don't think I know anyone that likes it!!

It was time for our last FP which was an absolute necessity.
IMG_2936.jpg

The wait time did not come out in this picture but trust me, the wait was crazy!!
IMG_2937.jpg

J's on a dark ride with his aunt. That can only mean one thing--I held him through the queue!!
IMG_2938.jpg

After Nemo we spent some time with the manatees. I just love them!! I make sure to stop by & see them every trip!!

I don't have it in my notes but we must have gotten a FP for Test Track. I know the waits were long all day & we would not have stood in a long line with J. Speaking of, the same kid who was told that he was too short for Soarin' a few hours before must have grew in that time b/c he was tall enough for Test Track & they have the same height requirement!!
IMG_2947.jpg

E figured he wouldn't be scared b/c he's never been on it & didn't know what to expect.
IMG_2948.jpg

Mine & R's vehicle.
IMG_2949.jpg

He had fun designing his car. Look who's holding him for this ride!
IMG_2950.jpg

This was R's first time on Test Track also!!
IMG_2951.jpg

IMG_2952.jpg

E felt so bad for the guy sitting next to J. He gripped his leg the whole ride. E apologized to him at the end & he said he didn't mind. He then gave J a high five for doing so good on the ride.
IMG_3596.jpg

J liked Test Track but when we asked him if he wanted to go on again he said no!!

He really enjoyed going in the cars in the showroom afterwards!!

J is so stinking cute! It looks like he did pretty good on TT! Many years ago we took my niece on Dinosaur- my son (same age as her, 11) told her it was an educational type ride... she screamed her head off the entire time and wouldn’t speak to my son for hours. I still get tickled thinking about it. They are 23 now and pretty sure she will never get back on it. He will probably love it next time since he did so well his first ride. :)

I think we were actually pretty close to each other, I just read your post about going into the Land when the rain started and we walked into the Land minutes before the rain started. I remember we went to the restroom by the Garden Grill and when we walked out of the bathroom we saw a bunch of people with ponchos and I could see (barely) that it was raining as I glanced towards the door before we headed downstairs for Soarin', a snack at Seasons, and Livin' with the Land. Ugh, I really should look around at people more when I'm there, I'm usually just in my own little world.

It was time for J to take a nap so E pushed him around while R & I went to pay Figment a visit. We got a FP for this also.
IMG_2956.jpg

We spent quite a bit of time in MouseGear. I believe I walked out empty handed(except for picking up my passholder magnet) which is a first for me in there. This has to be probably my favorite store on Disney property. I always manage to find things there that I don't see anywhere else. And just b/c I didn't spend anything that day don't you worry--I'd be back in three days!!
IMG_2958.jpg

It was time for us to head out. We had to get back to POR to get ready for dinner.
IMG_2959.jpg

A lovely towel creation greeted us when we got back!

As we were getting ready for dinner J was a bit bummed out. Here's when we knew he was super serious about his crush on @TrolleyFollower91. I'm so glad E caught this on video!! Em--didn't I say you played a big role in this TR?

So, is it safe to say that J is moving to Georgia to go to school?

I must say that I think it is funny that for the most part he kept his head turned away from E. I think he was embarrassed to break the news to his mom!! Also, you notice he keeps pulling on something that is sitting on the bed? Meet "moonie". "Moonie" is what he holds onto when he's tired or nervous. It's actually a sleep sack with a moon & stars embroidered on it. He pulls on the moons threads when he's nervous.

@TrolleyFollower91 I sure hope he gets to see you again. I know it would be a dream come true for him!!

We could have taken a bus back to Epcot then walked all the way to the World Showcase & head out to go to the Yacht Club. It was hot & frankly none of us felt like doing all that walking.
Besides, I've been wanting to try one of these!!
IMG_2961.jpg

J was excited. Any time he would see them throughout the week he would say "There's a spot car!!"
IMG_2962.jpg

Our driver was great!! She was so nice. She had a flash drive with music from all the different resorts(just like the buses have) & depending on which resort you were going to is what you heard.
IMG_2963.jpg

She offered to take a group photo of us. We had hoped to have her on our return trip but it wasn't meant to be.
IMG_2964.jpg

This was our first visit to the Yacht Club. We were quite impressed.
Not the greatest photo with the sun shining in.
IMG_2969.jpg

We spent some time walking around the inside of the resort. E & R both bought a few things in the store there-I can't remember the name of it right now.
I thought the lobby was quite nice.
IMG_2971.jpg

It was time for dinner!! We were all excited to try this. It was a first for all 4 of us.

Thanks!! Overall he didn't do bad at all. He loves cars too so I'm sure that helped!!

My niece, E(she'll be making an appearance in the TR soon) is absolutely petrified of Dinosaur. She has never been a fan of it.

"An educational type ride"--I cracked up at that one!!

I hope he will--when he was younger he was ok with the dark rides & now look!!

From what you're saying it sounds like we probably missed you be a few minutes. We had to have been at Soarin' right around the same time as you. Darn..... I should look around more myself.

We started off the with rolls. They were delicious!!
IMG_2977.jpg

E & I shared a bottle of wine. When I got home days later I happened to come across the receipt from this
dinner and noticed that they didn't charge us for the bottle of wine. I wish I would have noticed that night. I feel so guilty.
IMG_2980.jpg

We started out with a few appetizers:

Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail
IMG_2982.jpg

Blue Crab Cake
IMG_2983.jpg

Both were great!!

J had salmon for dinner.
IMG_2984.jpg

E & I both had the filet mignon.
IMG_2985.jpg

R had the New York Strip Steak.
IMG_2987.jpg

We ordered a few sides to share:

Sauteed Mushrooms
IMG_2988.jpg

I'm not joking when I say these were the best mushrooms I have ever had. E makes great mushrooms & I was the first to try one of these. I proclaimed, "These are the best mushrooms that I have ever had." She looked at me & said, "Even better than mine?" I told her yes they were. She tried them and agreed with me!!

After hearing so much about this we couldn't wait to try he truffle mac & cheese. It was good but we agreed we wouldn't get it again.
I'm not quite sure what it was but it just wasn't what I was expecting.
IMG_2989.jpg

J's dessert. It was so cute!! I was secretly jealous that it wasn't mine!!

Painting them for a bit.
IMG_2992.jpg

IMG_2993.jpg

E & I both got the same dessert. It was some kind of sugar free/gluten free carrot cake. It wasn't bad.
I can't remember what R got:oops:
IMG_2994.jpg

Dinner was fantastic. The food, service & atmosphere were spectacular. We can't wait to return!!

We wandered around for awhile after dinner.
I hadn't noticed any flowers in any restrooms so when I saw these(even though they are not in a restroom) I thought of you @Tuvalu!!
I thought they were quite pretty!!
IMG_2995.jpg

IMG_2996.jpg

We walked over to check out the Beach Club. This pool looks pretty impressive!!
IMG_2997.jpg

IMG_2998.jpg

IMG_2999.jpg

We checked out the lobby in the Beach Club.
