Trip Report What's going on with my clothes??

The title.

It's what I've been having the hardest time with for the last week or so. I'm not totally sold on it but I must say that it did make for a lot of laughs(at my expense of course). When I think about how much energy I've channeled to coming up with something, especially when that energy could have been put to better use( like at work or something), I decided to stick with this & move forward. Otherwise, this TR would never get started. Anyways, welcome to my very first trip report!! I'm happy with myself for finally doing one & I'm more than excited to relive our adventures & share them with you fine people!!
So, let me start by getting the introductions out of the way......

WHO: R & myself, my sister E & her son J, my sister C & her husband D & their daughters E & A

WHEN: June 18th-25th *C,D,E & A's plans were a little different than ours. They were there 6/21-7/7*

WHERE: my home away from home, POR

A little more FOF:

I'm glad we got to see it that day b/c we ended up not catching it the rest of the trip!!
R & I noticed two very odd behaviors while we were watching the parade. To our right standing in the blazing sun with nothing really covering her was a woman breastfeeding her baby. To our left was a couple(in their early 20's) who, I would have to assume, weren't getting along. All of a sudden he slugged her in the arm. She started crying pretty hard. So, even though we enjoyed the parade we felt very awkward if we even slightly turned our heads left or right. Maybe I didn't pick such a good spot after all!!

MONDAY, JUNE 18TH(CONT.)


We wandered over to Adventureland. We were so excited to run into none other than Skipper Joseph!! E & I have had him as our skipper many times on the Jungle Cruise & let me just say he is the best!! We asked him if he would be at the Jungle Cruise that week & he said no. He would be at POC instead. Such a bummer. We told him that if we ever saw him at JC & got a different skipper we would wait longer so we could go on his boat. He is literally that good!! BTW, during all of this I think R was a bit embarrassed.

The CM next to him was listening to our conversation & as we were parting ways she asked us if we like the Mine Train. We were a little confused until she presented us with these!! How sweet of her!!

Next it was time for one of my favs!!

After R & I rode he & E went on. J & I stood here & watched for them to come by.

It was now time for one of J's favorites!!

All along R said he wouldn't ride this b/c he doesn't like rides that spin but J really wanted R to ride with him.

J won that battle!!

Time for a visit with John, Sarah & the gang!!

Time to relax a little--everyone except for J. He doesn't like the dark parts so he gets a little apprehensive going on this.

Now it was time for our Buzz FP. J is not a fan of Zurg so this is another one that he gets a bit nervous about.

Another one that J gets a little apprehensive on. I will say though he was more willing to go on things than he has in the past. He is used to going to WDW with just E & myself a lot. I think he was acting like a tough guy since R was there.

I had to!! CoP is probably my favorite attraction in all of Disney!! My flash wasn't on though!!

It's definitely the darkness that gets to him. Wait until you see the SSE photo!!

We had a FP for SM next. It was pretty close to our dinner reservation time so R & I rode while E passed.

I would have to assume that I was awake although it sure doesn't look that way!

Originally we did not have a dinner reservation for this day & two others later in the week. Even though reservations were made 6 months ago R all of a sudden realized(a week & a half before the trip) that there were 3 nights without reservations. He prefers a sit down meal every night. Originally we didn't plan on a meal the for this night b/c we were only arriving that day. We didn't want to be rushed. So, a week & a half before we are leaving I had to find some reservations. I was more concerned about getting ones for later in the week when we would become a group of 8. I found LTT for this day & I booked it but was not thrilled. The last few times I ate there I felt that their food was going downhill.

I must say though, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was quite good this time around!!
We all really enjoyed it!!

J was getting bored. The service was pretty slow.

Then it was time for the famous Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. As many times as I've dined here I've never had this before. Sorry to say this but I won't again either. I didn't like it in the least(please don't hate me @Tuvalu). It was way too sweet for me. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of ice cream. Shocker, I know.

Our server was so slow & we had wanted to leave MK before HEA started. It was around 9 so the path of least resistance was to go through the stores. We made it back to POR about 10. It had been a long, fun & interesting day!!

I think it put a damper on a lot of people's day. It was so bizarre & frankly it was quite rude. You definitely would not have wanted to been in my shoes at that point if you have that fear b/c she was literally 3-4 feet from me.

Before we went in we stopped to pick up our AP cards. The CM I had wasn't too pleasant. I had taken my expired one out of my wallet & she pretty much snatched it from me & didn't give it back!! It was just kind of weird.

R has never ate at Casey's & really wanted to so that was our lunch spot. In my opinion Casey's is pretty much a zoo all of the time. I just think the ordering areas are too small so it becomes very congested in there. There have been times I've avoided eating there just b/c I didn't want to deal with the circus. However, that all changed when Mobile Ordering was born. I swear we tapped we were there & the food was ready within a couple of minutes.
R went with the footlong & I had the corn dog nuggets.

The food was great but towards the end of the meal things went south. Sitting at the table next to us was a mother & her 2/3 year old daughter. We assumed that mom must have given her too much water(it looked like a gallon)not long before. All of a sudden the kid started vomiting all over the ground. My Baggallini was on the ground so that unfortunately received a little shower before I could grab it.
I felt sorry for the girl but I was quite grossed out about my bag. I cleaned it with napkins & hand wipes as best as I could all while the poor kid threw up not once but 3 more times!! Really mom, is your hot dog that important that you can't take your kid to the bathroom? Also, she obviously gave no thought to those of us around her who were trying to eat while this was going on. As we, quite quickly I might add, got up to leave she looked at me and apologized.

MONDAY, JUNE 18TH(WRAPPING THIS DAY UP)

When we arrived at POR we were quite surprised to find out that we had a river view rooms!! It was a nice surprise considering we paid for either a standard or garden--I can't remember which.

R didn't get why I was taking pictures of the room.

The only thing allowed on the tv for the week--Stacey!!

We got a nice sunglass cleaning kit as a little thank you gift!! I actually keep my readers that I use for work in the bag.

With that our first day was over. We had a very full day coming up at HS!!

Enjoying your report. That is my absolutely worse thing that can happen anywhere. Happened to us once just shortly after the start of a nine hour flight. An adult sat behind us who appeared not to even make an attempt to get to toilet. I felt ill the rest of that flight

A nine hour flight--I would have felt ill also. Being in an enclosed space like that for all that time. That is just plain awful.

Lol I think he is just used to staying at Coronado and knows it by heart. It looks beautiful though. And also if my bag had been puked on, I probably would have,not on purpose, returned the favor. Total germ freak, and I cannot deal with someone throwing up.

I fell in love with POR from the first moment I stepped on the property. It is beautiful & don’t you worry—I have tons of pictures coming up in this TR! The few times I have stayed elsewhere I felt like my heart was breaking.

The puking on the bag was not a good start but what really got to me was mom’s “didn’t care” attitude about what was going on. I can’t deal with someone throwing up either—especially a total stranger!!

It's actually the only moderate I've stayed at but I like it there so much I can't see staying elsewhere. I know there's a lot of negativity about it being so big & having 4 bus stops but it's just so peaceful & pretty there that those other things don't bother me.
