What is Stitchs Great Escape?

Not trying to be fresh or anything, but what happened? (Just curious).

I'm pretty sure the point being made is this: one of the reasons AE changed into SGE was because alot of people complained about AE. So for someone to say we should shut up, stop complaining and wallow in the mediocrity of SGE is both ironic AND hypocritcal.

I like it.

I'm still surprised because I did one of the first test shows conducted by WDI, and everyone there loved it.

To the Mousecave!

Unfortunately, Disney lawyers boarded up the firehouse poles used to get to the Mousecave on the basis that it might hurt someone. However, the sliding rock and "Disney World 10 miles" sign are still outside it.

As for Stitch, I like to call it "Deep Hurting". "Rock Climbing" can't compare.

It. Isn't. A. Ride.

Finally, some clarity. Somebody had to say it exactly that way.

Worst attraction in the history of WDW, I would rather have seen them bring back mission to mars than this joke of an attraction. IMO, skip it all together, just go ride Space Ranger Spin and move on. :)

Not a bad idea...with all the renewed interest in Mars, how about an updatd version of Mission To Mars? Just an idea...

They did it's called "Mission: SPACE". It's got less dryer spin cycle nosies and more loss your lunch power.

I'd knew you'd get the reference Servo.

Stitches Great Mistake is by far the worst decision WDW has made in changing a ride (in my opinion), but then again, we loved ExtraTerrorestrial.

It is much like the Alien Encounter previous ride in the aspect of the same set up where you are in a circle in the dark around something in the center. Remember, this is Stitch when he was still 626 and busts out. At one point Stitch belches a horrid chili dog in your face, whispers in your ear and steps on your shoulders.

If your kids are afraid of the dark, then I wouldn't recommend it. Personally, I have a problem recommending this ride to anyone, regardless of fears of the dark. But again, MANY people love the ride. It is much like AE but toned down to have stitch instead of an Alien with vile smells and less excitement.

i second pretty much all of what was said above......imo Stiches Greatest Mistake is just that....Yes AE did not have much or anything to do with disney but it was awesome.

It was one of Disneys best waste of "spaces" I think it was one more of the Imaginears lose of Ideas and they said hey lets make a ride out of a movie that will be soon forgotten and need to be re-made.

Am I the only one that actually enjoys SGE? I mean, it doesn't compare with AE but that ride was pretty darn scary for kids. I personally think that Monsters Inc. is a worse ride...or what about that Drew Carrey thing? That's pretty awful...

Way to try and pass the buck onto another ride rant thread:ROFLOL:

But yeah I think your the only one that would even use the word like and SGE in the same sentence.

I loved this attraction when it was AE, would ride it a couple times every trip. Did SGE once, and that was enough to know I didn't need to go back.

Personally, I don't think it is a terrible ride, but it is nothing compared to the original Alien Encounter. That was an amazing ride and its a shame that people were stupid enough to take their kids on it and complain afterwards, forcing Disney to make it family friendly. Maybe they should have put it in DHS instead of the Magic Kingdom.

Personally, I'd go on it once to see the Stitch AA and never go back... it's not THAT bad, but when you have to wait in a long line just to sit in a room in the dark, it's just not worth it. You could be waiting on line for Space or Buzz! If it's a can-my-kid-go-on-it thing, if they like Stitch they should be fine (But they should know that it's a prequel). Have fun!

You know not every attraction is for everybody. I enjoyed AE better because it was scary and not for everyone................and what a great fit for Tommorland. Stitch is OK.......we just don't care to go to it any longer.

I tried it once on my last trip (my 8 year old son wanted to check it out). I didn't hate it as much as some here, but it is not something I would go out of my way to ever do again. (I think my son would agree with me, too.)
