What is Stitchs Great Escape?

personally, i don't think it is a terrible ride, but it is nothing compared to the original alien encounter. That was an amazing ride and its a shame that people were stupid enough to take their kids on it and complain afterwards, forcing disney to make it family friendly. Maybe they should have put it in dhs instead of the magic kingdom.

agreed!!

So many replies, I feel like I opened a can of worms:lookaroun. Well, I will try it, and personally, I prefer it to be less intense, I was TERRIFIED on this and I was 24 when I first experienced it, big baby, I know, but dark and creepy just not my thing:eek:. Mind games, freak me out!!! I was surprised such a dark, terrifying experience was to be had in Disney, I thought everything in Disney was cutesy(?), well it is now with Stitch there, I suppose. Each to there own opinions, I will post mine when I go and make my own mind up, thanks for the info:wave:

Way to try and pass the buck onto another ride rant thread:ROFLOL:

But yeah I think your the only one that would even use the word like and SGE in the same sentence.

I loved this attraction when it was AE, would ride it a couple times every trip. Did SGE once, and that was enough to know I didn't need to go back.

No, he's not the only one. I would personally rate it as one of the better changes made to the Magic Kingdom since my first visit in 1996. I felt Alien Encounter's queues were enjoyable, but the attraction itself was truly lame. It could have been an incredibly suspenseful, scary, and yet entertaining 10 minutes, but instead went down the easy death and blood spattering path. Stitch goes for the laughs, with a little bit of suspense, and I think it succeeds very well. I personally will never understand the fascination with Alien Encounter. Yes, I miss SIR and Skippy, but I'd rather have 90210 and the main show they have now than SIR and Skippy and the pathetic monster-on-a-stick rotating in the center of the room instead.

I like it.

I'm still surprised because I did one of the first test shows conducted by WDI, and everyone there loved it.

Yeah...I like it, too. It has gotten better the more times I have seen it, though. I don't know if that is just my perception or they have upgraded it from when it first opened.

What is funny is all the people that love to complain about it, even though it isn't much different from AE. People just enjoy complaining, I think.

I've never liked it since Mission To Mars. It's always been the same old thing in that building. I say scrap it all and start from scratch.

I don't care for Stitch that much but we ride it for the kids, they love it.
On the subject of AE- I never found that ride entertaining or scary for that matter either. I remember when DH & I rode it we were like really, that's it??? (Go ahead..I know... flame- but I really did not see the big deal, it was boring to me.) At least the Stitch version is funny.
