What Existing WDW Attractions Would You Remove?

Hmm..
MK - I'd dump Stitch. What does he have to do with Tomorrow anyways?
Epcot - I'd vote for ANYTHING to be put in the Wonders of Life building and if not a replacement, a major overhaul of Imagination which would include the upstairs Imageworks.
AK - It just needs additions.
HS - Take out the Indy show and add the Indy Ride from California. And yes, American Idol.

I would really like it to be something like Soarin' over the World. They could spend 25-30 seconds over each of the countries represented in the World Showcase.
That's not a bad idea at all.

I had never thought about it like that in terms of a change. Whenever I see people talking about a new Soarin' movie I automatically go to just Florida and think "No it's fine the way it the way it is" but I actually really like the idea of a World version. I still love it the way it is but that's an idea I could get behind.

Jungle Cruise / Swiss Family Treehouse - Too much useable space wasted on (what I believe is) lackluster attractions.
Tomorrowland Speedway - It has a huge footprint and wasteful, outdated technology.
Dinoland U.S.A. - Keep Dinosaur, lose the rest.

- Lights Motor Action - definitely! And mainly because by putting this in I feel they ruined the Backlot Tour.
- Journey into Imagination - I want the original one back!
- In EPCOT get rid of the countries like France, England, Moroco and put in countries like Norway and Mexico that have rides. I don't feel that these tell you anything about the countries.

- I do have to add that CoP is cheesy and old, but it is one of my nostalgia favorites that I have to do at least once when I'm there.

- AND BRING BACK PLEASURE ISLAND!!! Adults need something to do too!

JC+TSI+Treehouse are pure sacred WDW. Take a slow walk through the treehouse and look around; it's far from lackluster. Keep them.

As far as the Orbiter goes, it's iconic. You don't even have to ride it; it adds a lot to TL for every guest. Keep it.

Speedway is old-school WDW too, but it's noisy, hot, not much fun and emits fumes. Time to go. There's room there for multiple attractions in FL or TL or both.

CoP -
Speedway - doesn't quite fit
SGE - terrible
MILF - rather it be at DHS
Magic Carpets - at least needs to be moved
Indy's stunt - 20+ yrs, no changes, quite a run kid.
LMA
AIE
BLT
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I only understood Speedway, Magic Carpets, and Indy's Stunt. BLT to me is a sandwich and MILF is, well, you know.

My apologies as I just typed quickly before heading out. :)

CoP - Carousel of Progress
SGE - Stitches Great Escape
MILF - Monster's Inc Laugh Floor (I feel should be moved to DHS)
LMA - Lights, Motor, Action
AIE - American Idol Experience
BLT - yes also a sandwich but in this case, Backlot Tour.

Journey Through Imagination
Stitch
The American Idol Experience
Spaceship Earth it's soo boring and breaks down every time I go on

In addition I wish the night clubs would come back. I know Disney is geared toward families and making them spend time together but I as a young adult who spends time with my friends would like to see them back. They were sort of cool and my friends and I looked forward to the day we could go to Pleasure Island.

No way! My husband and Mom love that attraction! But, somehow soarin over Ca. never quite fit- should be over Fl. (IMHO)
Exactly, I would probably enjoy it more if it was! Also the picture quality is bad and unless you're in the front seats you see people's feet dangling!

Over rated!!!!

I feel that a whole lot in WDW needs to be redone or done away with.

MK

Removed

SGE- Loud, Obnoxious and smells at that one part. not needed.

MILF- Echoing the sentiment that this needs to go to DHS.

Indy Speedway- Disney's Main Polluter needs the ax and rebuilt.

Swiss Family Robnson Treehouse- A walkthrough in this day and age doesn't make much sense.

CoP- Its had its run for so many decades. Time to go.

Aladdin Magic Carpets

Reimagined

Jungle Cruise

EPCOT

As a whole, I think think all of Future World needs to be reimagined.

DHS

Removed

Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular- Combine this into a LucasLand by making the whole area into a place that has Star Wars and Indiana Jones attractions.

Muppet Vision 3D- This thing is ancient. Let's take the whole Muppet concept and either abandon it or turn it into a Land.

LMA- What a waste of space for a simple boring show.

AI- Replace it with a new show or attraction.

Reimagined

The Great Movie Ride

AK

Lets just build this as a zoo with better rides and shows. Find a replacement soon if and when Avatar fails.

There's only one attraction that has to go: Tomorrowland Speedway

It might have been a good idea decades ago but let's face it, most of us have easy access to better go-cart tracks near our homes. Why Disney thinks it needs a smelly, dirty, loud, hot, slow go-cart track at the Magic Kingdom in the 21th Century is a mystery to me. It might appeal to small children but has a 54" height restriction to drive. It had absolutely no appeal to my children by the time they were 54" tall. It's "low tech" and out-of-place in the Magic Kingdom, a throwback to the 1950s when DL was built.

Just imagine what they could replace it with!

Anyone else notice how rusted and gross the spaceship from The Navigator has gotten while riding Backlot Tour? Yeah.. I'd say it's time to replace that ride. Obviously, it's not being taken care of. Plus, I don't even know what I'm looking at while riding it. "Ohh.. that's where they park the cars for LMA, Ohh.. that building used to have stuff in it.." Lame.

My friends and I were thinking about this last night. We came up with an idea about turning this ride into a fast Tron racer thrill ride based on the tournament games in the movie. They could turn the que into a building that showcases the technology of future gaming in the real world to make it relevant to "tomorrow" and tie it into the movie. The building with the que could also be built in a way to extend into the walkways and create a better transition to and from Fantasyland. Just our ideas though.

I've stated the same desire to see Tomorrowland Speedway morphed into a Tron style attraction. I definitely think this idea has some real potential. We're certainly not the only two who wish to see Tron take over that spot so it really could be a home run for Tomorrowland if it materializes. The environment in which the Tron movies take place in is so rich and the primary colors that are utilized screams "make me an attraction!". Spending a pretty penny in converting the current Speedway to the "grid" would really benefit Tomorrowland making it appear once again truly futuristic which would be a nice balance in the more retroesque view of the future currently seen in Tomorrowland.

Preface: I am also looking at this through the eyes of my 3 year old daughter and the attractions she likes

MK:
Speedway - reimagined
Stitch - removed
Tom Sawyer Island - improved
Monster's Inc - reimagined, they could do so much more with that movie
CoP - updated
Jungle Cruise - improved
Perter Pan - improved
Country Bears - improved
Daytime Parade - trashed and replaced by something completely different and new

Epcot:
Future World - needs to be more futuristic
UoE - reimagined, I like the concept but this is waaay too out dated
Imagination - improved and expanded, surely imagineers can do something better with imagination
SSE - please please do something with the descent
World Showcase - I'm not on the ride for every country bandwagon, but i would like to see the countries w/o rides have more interactive features. My biggest pet peeve - why does the United States have the worst pavilion?
WoL - waste of space, perfect for a new attraction

DHS:
Little Mermaid - reimagined, DD loves this show, but it is dated and truly painful for adults
Amination tour - updated
Backlot Tour - removed
LMA - reimagined
Indiana Jones - updated/reimagined
Sounds Dangerous - removed
Streets of America - removed/reimagined
Muppets - updated
Parade - reimagined
Fantasmic - updated/reimagined
GMR - updated

AK:
Dinoland - reimagined
Camp Minnie Mickey - reimagined similar to Toon Town, DD loves this place and will be very sad to see it go
