I agree. I had no idea what this movie was going to be about until I started getting emails from Disney about it. Hearing about a movie called "John Carter," makes me think about maybe a western or something about some politician in the 40s. It doesn't make me think about crazy awesome action on Mars or whatever. I still don't really know because it didn't intrigue me enough to pay $12 to see it in theaters.

I certainly don't fault most people for not being interested in seeing the film. It's such a shame because after Andrew Stanton gave us such wonderful Pixar films as Finding Nemo and Wall-E, here was his chance to lend his creativity to live-action and it should have paid off huge. This just goes to show how important every aspect and department is especially in the movie industry, you may have the Disney name attached to it or in other cases have the biggest A-list stars or an extravagant budget but it can all go tumbling if the message doesn't get across to the audience. I really urge people to give John Carter a watch now that it's out on Blu-ray and DVD, it's certainly not the most original concept by today's standard but you have to remind yourself that it is based on a series of books which shaped the foundation of the sci-fi genre way back in the early 1900s. Viewing it that way will hopefully show people how revolutionary this concept was and without it the science fiction we know today could have turned out very differently. The film is a blast and stands nicely with more recent live-action Disney fare like Pirates of the Caribbean, The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Prince of Persia, all of which I had a ton of fun with.

The original Universe Of Energy ride blew my mind when I was little but Ellen's Energy Adventure is a sad continuation of the ride. I don't see how a refurbishment would solve its problems, especially since Dinosaur steals its prehistoric thunder these days. .

The only thing Ellen's ride is good for is a 38 minute nap

Mission Space

Agreed. Just as some view Soarin' as an attraction worthy of an early replacement, I feel Mission Space is totally underwhelming. Aside from a beautiful building and a very detailed queue the ride portion already feels very dated and obsolete.

In regards to MagicMike's original post, I really think that the Tomorrowland Speedway could be given a second life if the whole theme and design were altered. I've mentioned before that transforming it into a "Tron" Speedway attraction could be really great and fit right in with the theme of Tomorrowland.

That used to (for some weird reason) be one of my favorite rides when I was 10, but that ride has certainly run its course. I'm still trying to figure out how that wasn't transformed into a CARS themed area years ago? Kinda seems like instead of refurbishing, they're waiting until all the Fantasyland stuff is done... then they'll just rip it out and replace it entirely?

I truly hope that happens. Almost anything would be better than that. It takes up way too much space for the slow, stinky, poor capacity attraction that it is. C, D, and E ticket attractions should be in place of this.

Actually Mission: Space as well. I do think it's a good attraction but it's certainly not a family ride. Only thrill seekers will enjoy it. I still wish they would have kept Horizons.

Also I would like to see attractions based on WALL-E and Up. Two of Pixar's biggest hits in recent years which are very under appreciated in the parks.

In a perfect world, I'd love for a really unique and innovative Wall-E attraction to take over Stitch's Great Escape while an Up attraction takes up shop in Epcot.

Yes, same here. I actually just posted the exact same thing in another thread. :D Never been a fan of SGE, never will be and I think a WALL-E attraction would be a perfect fit for Futureland.

Winnie the Pooh and replace it with something from Wind in the Willows, maybe a ride called Mr. Toads Wild Ride.

Also Stitch has to go, its terrible.
And please please replace the stupid tomorrowland speedway.

Nothing good has EVER been in the spot where Stitch is now. I think it's time they went with something a little different there. Even bringing back Dreamflight and putting it there would be better.

I just KNOW I will take heat for this one but The Country Bear Jamboree. The animatronics are so dated and operate poorly. I am honestly torn on this since we do go in every trip and it is such classic Disney but I think it's time has passed and looking around during the show many of the kids that were the original target age of the attraction have the look of "can we go now?" on their faces.

As always, this is just my $0.02.
