What Existing WDW Attractions Would You Remove?

LMA
AIE
BLT
I have no idea what any of these are.
Okay, here goes (again, *sigh*):

MILF - rather it be at DHS - Mother I'd Like [...] (At the Studios too eh? perv!)
LMA - Laughing My [...] Off
AIE - ay! ouch!....exclamation used to express a sudden, unexpected pain sensation (possibly while typing his cat jumped on his lap, claws and all)
BLT - Big Large Thing. Our standard phrase for large objects we don't know the exact name of.

Hope that helps!

That was very helpful, thank you ;)

Yeah it took me a few minutes but it's Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Lights Motors Action, American Idol Experience, and........bacon lettuce tomato....??? Yeah I'm struggling on that one still.

EDIT---oh I think it's Backlot Tour.

Things I'd totally remove....Lights Motors Action, American Idol...that's about it I think
I agree, but why doesn't everyone like LMA Stunt Show? My husband and boys love it!

I agree the Speedway could go. I could do without the Stitch attraction as well. Did it once years ago and had zero desire to do it again.

Stiches Great Escape, Lights Motor Action, Dinorama(Biggest waste of space in any park), Tomorrowland Speedway, Camp Minnie Mickey(This seems to be getting fixed), American Idol.
Agree, but again, why LMA? Also the speedway is a classic- wish they would refurb it to fit though.

A little debate recently came up regarding thoughts on the removal of Tomorrowland Speedway that got me thinking. In your opinion what rides or shows are so far past their prime that a complete removal/replacement is the only solution?

Just for the record, I believe that removing the Speedway to make room for a more advanced attraction would be a plus. No amount of re-theming can make it flow with the area it's located and the ride experience itself is out-of-date and lackluster.
Excellent debate! Thanks for starting this thread.

Completely agree with this also. Indy has had a great run but when it comes to cutting time in DHS, it's the first to go for us. I definitely don't want to see Indiana Jones leave WDW altogether but I think the room the stunt show currently occupies would be better used for an attraction similar to Indys incarnation in Disneyland. Not to turn this into a "Why DHS Is A Half Day Park" thread, but same with the Studio Backlot Tour dated, unchanged, and if you have seen it once or twice in previous trips, you are inclined to skip it.

The original Universe Of Energy ride blew my mind when I was little but Ellen's Energy Adventure is a sad continuation of the ride. I don't see how a refurbishment would solve its problems, especially since Dinosaur steals its prehistoric thunder these days.

Ditto for the Journey Into The Imagination ride currently running.
Noone ever seems to be riding Imagination. I loved Figment though as a little kid.

Tom Sawyer Island? All that prime space seems perfect for development into a new attraction for MK.

I really do love almost every ride at WDW and feel that 90-95% of the one's "on the fringe" could circumvent replacement by simply undergoing a refurb (In Some Cases, A Very Extensive Refurb). It just seems that some attractions, like Speedway and American Idol Experience, have outlasted their relevancy.
... and American Idol is fairly new!

1. Jungle Cruise. It's just so dated. I realize it's one of the originals, but that's no reason to hang onto it if it can't be plussed in some way to make it more entertaining and less embarrassing.

2. Stitch. Terrible attraction. It looks neat and the tech is impeccable, but the storyline is so obnoxious. Perhaps some new scripting would help.

3. Muppets. Yeah, yeah, new movie, whatever. The attraction is also dated, boring and not especially funny. Either change it or get rid of it. I vote for the latter. :D

4. American Idol, because who really cares anymore?

yep- JC is such a clssic though. I wondered how people would feel about it once AK opened (there was a big debate about that). My kids don't really care for the muppets, although I love Kermit, but I do wish there was a ride based on The Muppets, rather than just another 3D experience.

Captain EO...Honey I Shrunk the Audience was better. Backlot Tour needs to go as well...It's just a shadow of it's former self. Makes me sad. Stitch, without a doubt. Don't mind the character but man, that ride sucks and was far less superior than the attraction it replaced. Dino Rama is so stupid...and ugly to boot. American Idol needs to definitely go too.

My dearest wish is that they'd restore Journey Into Imagination to its original form. It was such a cool ride. All they had to do was fix some of the stuff that was broken and it would have been just fine. Instead they made it into that horrible thing with the senses. :(

My 2 cents worth:)
MK: Astro Orbiter, Stitch,Monsters Inc., Swiss Family Treehouse, Liberty Square Riverboat, TSI
HS: All except TSM, TofT, Star Tours, RocknRC (sorry if I offend any DHS fans).
EPCOT: EEA, JIA w/ Figment ( that entire area)
AK: Rafiki's Planet Watch area, Camp Minnie Mickey, Dinorama area (except Dinosaur& maybe Primeval Whirl)

These are just some of the rides/attractions that we mostly skip over. Yes- I know these are probably some folks faves ( please don't take offense).

While I have never taken the time to check out the American Idol Experience, I can't imagine loving it since I don't care for the show. I can fully understand Disney taking advantage of such a high-profile show but with the ratings taking a dip after so many years on, I'd be surprised if DHS show lasts more than 2 years. I'll definitely check it out during my solo trip this September/October though.

Aw, Bethymouse, no love for the Swiss Family Treehouse? :p I always found it pretty neat which reminds me, wasn't the WDW attraction being refurbished into Tarzan's Treehouse? If so, has it re-opened yet?

I agree Speedway is a classic, but time has not been kind. The ride format is very dated and the placement in the park no longer makes sense.

I hoped this would come up. It's outdated, overshadowed by a real life safari existing in AK, and would't greatly benefit from a refurb. All very similar to reasons I listed when advocating for replacement of Universe Of Energy in an earlier post. What I feel like saves Jungle Cruise from being a "Universe Of Energy" is that it's deficiencies are blatantly acknowledged by the ride operators and cast members through tongue-in-cheek humor that transform it into a ride that doesn't take it self too seriously. This is one of, if not the only case, you will see this in an attraction at WDW.
