wow not one response..

I can't believe that there wasn't one response to this thread.. not one..

is every one here that new? or does no one care? at least the last guy that really "disappeared " from this forum was dumped by the owner. and yet guys still refer to him, and his great photos.

but General Grizz was a great poster in his own right. and a true inside man.. and I miss his posts..

I just saw him briefly mentioned on another thread and remembered what an intricate role he played on this site...I just remember he had to leave for some reason.

And just throwin' this out there, I don't think this is the right thread...

You start a thread with "Whatever happened to..." meaning people will have to open the thread to know EXACTLY what you're talking about.

You asked "whatever happened to Grizz?"

After one day, nobody replied, so you ask if no one cares.

I'm just throwing this out there, I'm no mind reader, but maybe...juuuuust maybe...

IN THE 24 HOURS TWIXT YOUR FIRST AND SECOND POST, THE PEOPLE WHO *DID* TAKE THE TIME TO READ YOUR POST DIDN'T HAVE AN ANSWER, SO THEY CHOSE TO WRITE NOTHING.

I mean, if people didn't have an answer, did you want them to post "don't know, sorry?" Because you asked a very specific question, which seems to suggest you want a very specific answer. I'm not trying to be jerky (which is difficult because being jerky is in my nature :D ), but if you had called your thread "Whatever happened to General Grizz" or "anyone else remember/miss General Grizz" you probably would've gotten more eyeballs and more responses. You could've also tried to send Grizz a PM, straight from the horses' mouth.

FWIW, I think it's incredibly sweet (seriously) that you miss someone who used to post here so often, but it's nobody's fault they can't answer your question.

Once upon a time, an equally sweet forum member started a thread wondering where I had gone (which is my cue to be humiliated by forum members asking "who are you and why would we care where you go?"). It only got a few responses before I let people know I'm still alive. In my case, I had just left and returned from WDW, and coming back to the forum would only serve to remind me that my trip is done, I've no idea when I'd go back, and that's depressing, so who needs that kind of downer? :) It's possible Grizz is also going through WDW withdrawal, or other events in the real world are keeping him from visiting. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but as I said, if you REALLY want to know, you can always ask him directly via PM.

This question has been asked quite a few times already and the threads can be found using the search function. Basically he decided his time could be spent better doing other things elsewhere. People come & go all the time and I would not hold my breath waiting for him (or anyone else) to come back.

I have to say I always enjoyed him during our nightly Magic IM group chats that we had way back when

A simple search would have given you the answer and saved you a days worth of waiting and wondering. It might have also saved you the embarrassment of the mini temper tantrum you threw in your second post. Just FYI but in the future a simple "BUMP" will get your point across much better and not make you look so childish.

I don't think anyone is trying to throw a temper tantrum around here.

I've been a forum member for a long time, and I've seen people come and go. Some I really, really miss, others - not so much. ;)

People get bored and stop posting, they sometimes feel that they're getting too involved, or they get tired of the same questions, or the same fighting, or they are asked to leave because they just can't seem to get along. Unfortunately, a few leave because of health or family problems; I fear that one or two have even died over the years.

There are many reasons why someone disappears, and most of us just let it be.

To the OP:

Grizz, as it was previously stated, has taken a permanent vacation from this site (and I believe all other WDW forum-esque sites). He's fine though, I promise. The ol' bear is currently very happy and healthy, and still very much has his finger on the pulse of all things Disney. I'll tell him you were looking for him.

Hope that helps!

She put on a good show didn't she? Hehe, I'm kidding.

If you do get a chance to talk to him, please tell him I was asking for him Jenn!
