What do you expect from Gaston's?

I make people laugh for a living. I think I know comedy.

There's a difference between comedy, and obnoxious internet videos.

YouTube Poops can sometimes be an acquired taste. And it's a whole different form of humor then the Jungle Cruise. Like a modern and funnier version of Dadaism.

Is Be Our Guest going to be a buffet?

Dear lord I hope not. I've always hated buffets for a number of reasons, not to mention our last experience at a WDW buffet was horrible. I'm sorry, but we were there last month and the Crystal Palace was one of the worst meals I've eaten in years. Seriously. And this coming from a person that thinks WDW is nothing but sunshine & fluffy bunnies and refuses to believe it has flaws. But at least the waitress was nice....and from Chicago...so we got to talk about our old stompin' ground with her for a while. Side note, but does anyone else make a point to see where every CM they meet is from? One of the little details I love about Disney :)

yeah, i have to agree about the buffet... not a fan. we ate at 1900 park fair/fare and although the characters were FANTASTIC the food was most certainly NOT. It was the absolute most fun we had at a character meet and greet meal but the food was yucky.

The song "Be Our Guest" is all about being pampered by great service. So I don't think it will be a self-service, i.e. buffet, restaurant. That would be a mistake.

Be Our Guest Restaurant Concept Art, Beast's Castle

Both dining spots will be in the new Beauty and the Beast area of Fantasyland, and we know for certain that Be Our Guest Restaurant will be a three-room, themed, table-service restaurant in the “Beast’s Castle.”

Gaston's Tavern Concept Art

Also new on the scene is Gaston’s Tavern, which looks like it might be a counter-service or less-expensive table service location

If they're taunting me with this concept art and don't actually end up putting that majestic portrait of Gaston over a fireplace, I'm going to be highly upset.

I'm especially good at ex-pect-ora-ting! ptooie! Ten points for Gaston...

I expect Gaston's to be a burger and fries counter service restaurant, with turkey legs and other large servings of meat on the menu.

If we are lucky, they will serve some hearty root beer and milkshakes in addition to the coca cola beverages we find throughout the Magic Kingdom.

Perhaps having Gaston's selling burgers in Fantasyland will allow Pinocchio's to serve pizza and pasta and other Italian fare.

We can dream anyway. :D

I must say, I expect Gaston's to be really cool and unique. Gaston is an awesome character who is overlooked and his tavern in the film is cool...I hope they replicate it!

I was talking to some people the other day and I think once this place opens there are going to be a lot of people going in expecting to find a beer. I can just imagine how many people are going to go to City Hall and saying "It's called Gaston's Tavern, and you don't serve beer!!??" I know there are already many people complaining about the lack of beer there is in the Magic Kingdom. Can't wait to see what happens when this place opens:)

I expect only what it will really end up like,Pecos bills slightly themed to Gaston and a fireplace with no fire counter service burger with fries or apple slices (the new age of Disney feed the masses they dont care what they eat they think its free)
