What did you do?

Refused to go outside in the minus windchill temps on Saturday so did 5 miles on TM. Yesterday I did brave the weather in the teens though to do 7 miles outdoors. And today it's going up to the 50s. This is a strange winter!

Good luck with the marathon. That's kind of a big deal! Decided on a plan yet? Yes, it's still early. :)

No points race this weekend. Easy 7-miler through the hills in my neighborhood. Nice morning, temps in the 50s and overcast.

My brother-in-law ran a 1:02 in his first ever 10K yesterday. Ran it for a W&D qualifier. That should get us corral D or E but he might run another to get a better time. W&D will be his first half.

Sun got the gym, realized I forgot my running shoes and had my minimal cross trainers instead. So I did a 5k@2i@8p, then a 12 min 5k on bike, then squeezed my socks in the shoes and did another 5k@2i@7:30p. Feet held up surprisingly well, and the last few miles was very interesting being able to feel exactly how my feet were striking the belt. A bit enlightening actually.

Been in Texas with the family for the past week - a few days in Austin visiting my sister's family and a few days in San Antonio. It was a great trip. Did one 4 mile run with my son at Zilker Park, spent an hour kayaking one day, attended a 2 hour walking tour of UT Austin, and did a 2.5 hour segway tour! (yeah, I know, no exercise on the last one but it sure was fun!)

2 something. I already forgot how much, had a few negative splits. Decided to try to embrace the calf pain somewhat and push back into that same form instead of fighting around it.

Jealous. I'm a Texas grad. Miss the Town Lake trails.
