What did you do?

4.11 miles this am. It was hot, muggy and sticky. 68 degrees and 85% humidity. Love it.

Getting my bike worked on a little bit so no riding tomorrow. Ill probably do some Coryna style yoga! Instead of forking out the cash for a Tri bike to see if I like it, Im going to get a new saddle for my current bike, a new seat post to pitch me forward like a Tri bike and some aerobars. I cant wait to start swimming next month either.

Yesterday: 3 miles outside in 29:01
Today : 3 miles on the treadmill in 30:09 --> always just a bit slower on the treadmill...

Have a great day everyone! :)

Not sure why the "quoting yourself" cracked me up... but it made me laugh.
Noooo, I cant take a brand new pair of shoes in the rain for at least 1 week of me smelling that "new shoe smell". Love that.
I know that feeling. Glad you are back in the swing. I might not have been pulling an all-nighter, but moving this past month with 2 small kids proved to be a huge endurance challenge.

No way man, I have to beat the crap out of mine to let them know what they're in for!

LOL... i like that new smell at least for a week. There are 2 types of shoe wear'ers, 1) the ones that keep their shoes looking new as long as possible, and 2) the ones that rub them in the grass the second they take them out of the box.

They sure are... but it isnt the heat that is getting unseasonably high here (still in the upper 80's, upper 60's for lows) it is the humidity. 85% this morning. This is only preparing me for Orlando in September.
Yeah running in soup is always a problem LOL
Like you say though, good training for Orlando!

Speaking of riding... did you buy a new bike or outfit an old one? Im going to put about $150 into an old mtn bike first, do an event or two and then decide. I got a tune up, about to buy a new saddle, add areobars and later get some street slicks. Id like to ensure I enjoy the Tri's before buying a intro bike. So, next summer Ill make that decision. until then, Im going to train on this super heavy, 1994 Specialized Rockhopper with old school Rock Shox on the front. :)

Planning on a 30-50 miler on Thursday or friday and once again, taking the weekend to relax with my wife, drink beer, and enjoy the parts of life that do not suck :)
Run hard folks!

I hope there are not too many parts of your life that DO suck!

As for me, 3.5 miles this morning on treadmill - quarter mile speed intervals. Nearly threw in the towel and didn't do the final rep, but I sucked it up and did it and was glad I did.

Nah, can't really complain: great wife, love my job (with it's ups and downs of course), and for now I'm not dead...*knocks on wood*

Oh, and I can wear obnoxious belt buckles that state I can run 100 miles straight in less than 24 hours *big f-----g grin*

Guess which one I am. Went to the trail run and everyone asked about my new shoes. I told them they have 170 miles on them. :D Hey, I'm an asphalt runner.

Got in 3 miles today at work 10:50 pace. Amazing how a persistant bunch of deerflies can inspire me to run faster (although not prettier)!

When I buy new kicks, my wife says, "Why are you getting new running shoes. They look brand new?" My reply, "Because they have 501 miles on them. It is time to replace"

Killed 31 miles this morning.

Stopped at the turn around and got a frozen cappaccino and sucked that down as I ran. It only cost me 2 mins to wait for it. Awsome pick me up!

Studio now.

Run hard folks.
