What did you do?

21.12 miles yesterday.

Want to run another 21-23mi this morning in 18 degrees with a real-feel of -3 degrees and 20mph winds...but I have the Goofy this weekend and getting sick would be stupid, since I was sick for last year's race and that was MISERABLE.
Cardio and free weights indoors this morning.

Cheers folks.

I feel your pain Nick. Last night, I did 4 miles with a wind speed of 25mph. I love looking at the temp and it says, 32... but feels like 21. I think we can just say it is 21. :D I agree though, dont get sick.

Today it is 23 with a wind chill making it "feel" like 12. Tomorrows run in the am shall be a cold one. Time to man up.

I'm baaaaaaaack!

Didja miss me? I'm back from our 8 night Caribbean cruise, and it was amazing. I'm pleased to say that I managed to squeeze in two 4+ mile runs on the ship. The first one I did on the outdoor track, but at 9 laps per mile and trying to navigate around walkers who would stop out of nowhere and wander all over the track, it was a tad difficult despite the incredible view of the sea. On the cool side, I was faster by far than all the other runners on the track at the time, including the men, which was a new experience for me as I kept lapping people! LOL. The second run I did on a treadmill in the fitness center but I kept feeling the slight pitch of the ship which would throw me off balance. Still, I persevered (probably out of guilt from all the food I'd been eating!). LOL.

I hoped to get back to a longer run yesterday, but alas I returned home with an extra unwanted souvenir - an awful sinus infection. I'm on antibiotics now but can barely walk without pain in my head and neck, let alone run.

Anyway, I just caught up on the posts I missed. Doug, I'm really glad to hear you're doing better. Good luck to you in the Blues Marathon this weekend. And good luck to all those Disney runners! :sohappy:

First run for me in a LONG time (over 6 weeks). 3 miles on the treadmill and felt pretty good.
I also did about 1/2 hr of upper body weights.

Now I need to get the running back into my workout schedule.
Stay warm everybody! It's crazy cold out there!!!

Still no real time for any sort of workout.

Good news is we finaly closed on the house, and now all thats left is about a month and a half of repairs and moving.

The old owners also left behind an entire universal gym - the joys of short sales. So I get to move that from the bedroom where it is currently living to the garage, I guess I could put a treadmill in there as well :). Just as spring comes I should have the time to get back into it (and drop the 10 lbs I picked up along the way) - perfect.

9 miles this am. I dont have actual numbers right now, but I got faster over the 9 miles for the most part. I was a bit cold this morning as I was leaving and I checked the temp one last time....

The Machine has arrived at The Poly!

Have a great race, Machine!...and everyone else from these boards who is running this weekend.

As for me, I'm still too sick to run, and it's driving me nuts. I haven't been up to running for 6 days now. I'm not as crazy as Nick, but I do tend to run through my illnesses. This one has really knocked me out though. Maybe I'll try to do stationary bike ride at least to see how my lungs and head handle it. Aaaaargh!
