Congrats!!!:sohappy:

-The theme for a boy could easily be Buzz Light year and Woody(Toy Story theme)
-Cars theme
-Wall-E
-Classic Mickey Mouse theme
-Simba/Lion King theme
Enjoy!!!!!

Congratulations!! :sohappy:

We've had a few people decorate their nursery in Disney/WDW themes, maybe a search will bring up the photo galleries.

Congratulations!! I would go for baby Mickey for a theme. There would be plenty of things around to do that theme, and as he grows up you can do Cars, Lion King, etc.

Congratulations. We are also having a boy. He is due on March 14th. Pooh is probably the easiest theme to go with since there is an abundance of pooh merchandise. :)

Such happy news! Thanks for sharing! Congratulations!

As to the nursery, even though I am die-hard Disney, I don't decorate Disney. Not even for a baby, 'cause it just looks tacky to me for reasons I can't explain (though I confess I could live with Classic Pooh). We did our new boy's nursery in MiGi Splash (Target and BRU both have it) and it is reasonably priced, plus the base colors can stand the test of time as baby grows.

Good luck and God Bless!

I agree that you should underplay the theme; just use themed bedding, maybe a lamp, and a couple of posters. Then it's easier to switch over.

Decals that can be removed are another good idea.

My son really doesn't mind that he still has a tropical themed border in his room, and since I have two other bedrooms for guests, I'll probably leave it that way after he goes off to college in two years. Then, it will be the furure grandchildren's guest room. :lookaroun

Some of the cutest rooms I've seen had no themes, but I had such a good time with ours. We're re-using our daughter's nursery, which I painted Small World, for our son when he is born. When she was a baby our daughter used to wake up in her crib and babble for the longest time to the murals on the walls. We used to spy on her. She still likes to go in there and pretend she is on the ride, taking her stuffed animals through the different countries. She likes to find the depicted countries on her map, run in circles singing the song, teach her dolls to sit still on the boat, just has all kinds of fun with it.

Her new room is tropical themed, and I did murals of Lilo & Stitch, Squirt from Nemo, etc, and one wall is painted like a giant window looking out onto the beach. At night we take turns telling Magic Window stories, in which she crawls through the "window" and has all kinds of adventures. I have to say she is getting mighty creative in her storytelling for a person who is not yet 3.

You don't need a theme to have a good child's room, but if it's something you can do yourself that won't cost a lot of money, it can be a lot of fun.
