Gas mileage doesn't concern me... these are toy cars anyways. I wouldn't want to put 200 miles/day in one of these cars anyways.. regardless of its gas mileage.

My car only has about 45k on it and its over 5 years old now. 5-6mpg isn't going to make much difference in my world at all.

I have other cars for long hauling :)

This is one truck I could see myself definitely buying again.

Ever do that? Ever buy a vehicle...and then ask yourself that question after you've owned it for a few years? The Z and this truck are the only vehicles I have been able to say that about. I said that about my Silverado too...but after driving the Avalanche, I'd buy an avalanche over a silverado.

My Volvo... and Caddy are the only 2 vehicles I would indeed purchase again.

Love RWD. I just cant see myself ever going back to FWD

Same here. Furtunately it seems like we're swinging back to rear-wheel drive. There was a time when rear-wheel options were VERY limited.

Now that's one of my first considerations. Barring unexpected circumstances, I think I will only consider rear-wheel or all-wheel drive in the future.

There is nothing cool about pulling up to a stop light and lighting up the front tires

Have you guys heard about the dude that hit 219mph in Arizona in a Murcielago?

I got to see one in person today at the car show...I'll post pics tomorrow.

VERY nice car...sharp indeedy!

Oh, and Gary...I take back my statement about the Challenger...after seeing it in person...melikey a LOT. I would say it's the best "retro" yet. The pictures don't do it justice...seeing in person makes all other retro "muscle" cars look weak. (Hehe, I still like the new Camaro better though).

All in all...I was very impressed with this year's show. The previous few years have been very lackluster but there were some great cars this year.

Let's see...

Nissan: GT-R
Ford: Airstream & Interceptor
Kia: Kue (very cool!)
Jeep: Trailhawk
Chrysler: Imperial (Wow, this one just screams "Look at how much money I have!")
Dodge: Challenger
Chevy: Camaro & Fuel Cell Equinox
Saab: Aero X
Audi: R8
and...your standard, porsche, lambo, ferrari, maseratis, bentleys, astons, and an elise

The Camero does look great. And ok ok... I'll take a look at the Challenger if it makes it to the Chicago auto show in FEB 2008... and I probally wind up liking it.:o

Post all your pics in here Brian... make it a trip report.

So... Mercedes C300. Yes or no? :lookaroun

Its a sharp lookin ride... and it has lots of buttons, which I like...lol. I dont know too much about it... it is rather short looking for a Benz (which may be a good thing here)... but the pics on their site might be deceiving . I like their Sport trim package on it.... depending on the options... you can go from mild to wild, and lots of great colors to choose from (I am partial to the Steel Grey Metallic).

What do YOU think about it? Because to be honest.. like I said... I am somewhat clueless about Benz C-class these days. Last time I looked at one...was awile ago (3-4 years). I like the looks of it compared to a 3-Series (like the C300 a little more) or G35 (I like the C300 a lot more!).

Pros & cons, if any?

I agree...I think they ruined the look of the G35...and the COUPE lost ALL of its personality!

Here's another one I saw for the first time yesterday... a little Volvo hatchback. It was very different looking but something about it made me like it...kinda like the M Coupe...it had that same type of "personality" when it was all tricked out.

I'm a big fan of the shape of the Camaro, but I don't like the hard edges and lines they used. I would have preferred softer lines, and I think that's the one thing the Challenger does better for me stylistically.

Did you notice if they had the Honda CRZ? That's one I'd like to see in person (I have a feeling it was a one-off though, so it's probably not doing all the shows).

New England International Auto Show Pics!

Let us start with something I found interesting and we can bring the computer operating system wars into this thread.

This was the display showing off the Ford/Microsoft new "Sync" system which is a voice operated system for all of your entertainment pleasures while driving.

Imagine this excitement while driving! I predict Road Rage cases to skyrocket

Here we have Dodge's beast...the Challenger Reborn!

Incredible machine...and I put these two vehicles together because it would be funny to see these two cars go head to head at a stop light

(BTW...sorry for the picture quality...they were taken with the iphone...not bad for a phone...but it's certainly not up to "camera" standards)

Alrighty...

Chrysler seems to be toying with the notion of bringing back the Imperial. This looks like the next step up from the 300C. For those people that still don't have enough for a Rolls-Royce but can part with more than people who opt for the 300C.

Ford's Interceptor concept is very "blah" looking as far as "flashy" goes...but something about it is appealing to me. Maybe it's the very simplistic shapes they used...not sure...but it's definitely in direct competition with the 300C.

Kia...yeah, I said it...Kia. You could've asked me to place a wager on whether I would go into the auto show and take a picture of a Kia and I would've taken your bet 10 times out of 10. Well, I would've lost. The Kia KUE is rather cool looking in my opinion. It's sporty, it looks muscular...and it's probably going to be a lot cheaper than most vehicles. (Now, will Kia have the guts to put this puppy out on the market? Probably not...but again, if you were to ask me if Saturns would be cool 3 years ago...I would've lost that bet too)

EDIT: Gary, this Kia actually resembles that CR-V a tad.

And the Jeep Trailhawk concept. I think this concept has been around for a while...and it's one of those vehicles that Jeep brings to shows when they have nothing else to bring. Still, Melikey a lot! (Aside from the redwall tires)

Alrighty...and to finish it off...

The Audi R8. I still don't like it. Bleh...the lines are horrible and nothing meshes together well. Nice attempt Audi...but when I think Audi, I think perfect lines and the shapes are simplistic. This just doesn't work for me.

And, last but not least...

The Nissan GT-R. This car is great...but that's all...because without ME...it's just AWESO. Hehe, nah, this was my favorite at the show. (BTW...it had the best "cargirls" too ;) ) Infiniti's were way up there on the hot factor too

Yes, this was the Japanese version (notice the steering wheel).
