Hmmm, for $70,000, I think it would be between the GT-R, Z06, M3 and Cayman.

I'd probably go with the Cayman, because I prefer the light weight and balance of the Cayman to the brute force of the other three.

. . . but I'd love to be in that position.

Anybody see Gordon Ramsey's Cayenne last night?

Ehhhhh.. I was thinking last night.. that if I had 70 large laying around... I'd probally get a fully loaded Caddy STS-V.:o

I just realized the STS-V goes for about 80grand... but ok.. with my GM Supplier discounts (I still have those...heehee) and all my GM Mastercard cash rewards... I could still swing it for 70-ish...lol

Somebody who has terrible taste in cars I assume.:lookaroun

No, but I did see the Hybrid Cayenne from the LA auto-show.

What's the XLR go for these days? That might be fun to have just because there are so few of them out there. Whenever I see one, it always catches my eye.

Same here.. I like it... but it has low reliability... according to the majority of the consumer reviews that I have read on the net. So that turns me off :-\

The base XLR is 80k-ish... and gawd only knows what the V version goes for. Whatever its price tag is... it is the most expensive car GM makes.

So... while my CTS was busy getting $1,200 worth of work done to it  (new breaks all around, radiator work.. and a couple of other small things) ... I got to fondle the 2008 CTS today. She was black on black... and nicely equipped.

My gawd... that interior is HEAVEN.. wow!! :slurp: GM really hit a home run. I felt like I was sitting in a Benz, Lexus... etc (quality... like it should be). Just class, quality and style with everything I touched and had seen in the cabin. Its too bad GM went cheap on the interior with the CTS debut in 2002. I wish they had done what they have today, five years ago. Talk about a complete 180. Amazing. I had seen all the pics... but to actually sit in the final production version... just wow. (sorry I'm drooling here...lol :o )

Do I like it? Yes.. love it.. the cabin seems a bit more roomier than the GEN 1 CTSs even. Will I get it? Tough to say. The coupe version comes out in 09...... unless I get a new cool uber job that pays me well, within the next 6 months.. then... I might go for it. :slurp:

So I'm in Europe right now and I see a few of the BMW 1 series on the roads.

Sorry, the thing is just ugly. From a glance.. it looks just like another golf or audi going down the road... up close it looks like someone tried to hack up a 3 series. The fold going down the side of the car just looks way oversized for the rest of the car.

The M coupe was certainly something that didn't work for everyone in looks... this car is worse because it really has no identity of its own.. it looks just like every other small hatch. :hurl:

Well theres no accounting for some peoples lack of taste. Im very happy with mine, certainly better looking than the 3 series which looks like a box from the back. The new 1 Series coupe Im not sure about, however it may be Sports tourer for me next.
