Cool!

I'd like to see somebody set up a racing series on a variety of tracks (make sure to include some tracks with long straights to give an advantage to the larger, more powerful cars and some tight tracks that help the smaller, better handling cars). Keep everything bone stock, and set up the classes by price: $20,000 - $40,000, $40,000 to $60,000, $60,000 to $90,000 etc.

You could have Solstices Vs. 350Zs Vs. WRX STI's Vs. CTS's Vs. Chargers Vs. 135i's Vs. Miatas Vs. Mustangs Vs. RX8's etc.

And then Corvettes Vs. Caymans Vs. M3's Vs. MZ4's Vs. Audi R5's etc.

And Then Z06's Vs. 911's Vs. GT-R's Vs. Vipers etc.

I think something like that would be a lot of fun. Motorcycle racing is much more closely tied to the production bikes than auto racing is to the production cars.

Keeping them closer to stock wouldn't only be more interesting IMO, but it would lead to better performing cars at lower price points.

News to me:
Brian wins! Since I have an apartment in the old city at the moment, parking is tight. I'm paying $150/month for a parking spot about 1/4 mile from my place. So I put a deposit on a Vespa LX-150cc to drive around the old city and to/from my parking spot.

I found out one of my classmates likes oddball vehicles and has a Vespa as well, and she gave me a few pointers. Since the vespa is so light, and somewhat unstable, with a little weight (ie- my fat @$$) it can go faster. So I've ordered it with a chrome seat, leather seat, and a small cargo rack for the rear

jeremy c. is his own character with his own biases... but Top Gear still is the most entertaining car show on TV (or the internet as we have to settle for here :) )

Its showing there is inconsistent - its always been more consistent to just download episodes off usenet. But I do see there are some websites hosting links to shows too.

And Season 10 has started... why do I want to watch Season 8 and 9? :)

Thanks - I have seasons 1-8 plus all the specials already offline. There was a huge 'jeremy clarkson collection' on bittorrent awhile back that had it all in one monster archive. took about a month before it all finished :)

I have my PC feeding my HDTV in the other room just for watching TopGear episodes :)
