You've opened the door to another of my gripes, which is the difficulty of getting hot tea with milk in the parks. Thank goodness my love for Disney is sufficient to offset my need for a good cuppa.
Not so much the toys, but wanna impress us on your environmental footprint reduction??? Do away with those STUPID, single use clear clam shell packaging…move away from THAT mess and I will be wholly impressed…until that changes, it’s yadda, yadda, yadda virtue signalingOk Stop making and selling plastic toys if they really cared about the environment!
Or bulldoze the entire place with full cleanup and give it back to the cows....Cost saving measure. A nice side benefit to reduce, but I will believe it is for animals and environment safety when they stop selling Balloons on Mainstreet.
I’m more concerned with other people walking around with soda cups without a lid. I can ask for a lid myself, I can’t control what others are doing.Everyone is complaining about walking around without a lid. Ask for one when you order. Problem solved?
As a tea-drinking Brit, iced tea is an abomination. I seriously don’t get the love for it.We will have our straws.
We will put them in cups full of ice.
We will fill those cups already full of ice... with tea!
AND WE WILLLIKELOVE IT!
When it’s well made (not the nasty mass-produced stuff), it’s actually quite nice. But nothing beats a proper builder’s brew.As a tea-drinking Brit, iced tea is an abomination. I seriously don’t get the love for it.
We have a local tea house with a wall’s worth of varieties. It’s changing my mind about hot teaWhen it’s well made (not the nasty mass-produced stuff), it’s actually quite nice. But nothing beats a proper builder’s brew.
But they disintegrate.......leaving no waste. At a recent visit to DL, I ordered a milkshake at Flo's, in which the paper straw quickly disintegrated (it was a bulky one to boot). I went through 3 of them to finish the milkshake, so I'd argue I generated more waste than if I'd been given a plastic straw at the outset.
Another reason the colonies rebelled ----- we like sweet ice tea.As a tea-drinking Brit, iced tea is an abomination. I seriously don’t get the love for it.

I cannot better @John park hopper ’s explanation!Oh man, we are brewing sun tea outside right now! Put in the fridge, pour over ice, add lemon and sweeten a little bit to your taste. I LOVE IT!!!
Too bad most of us want to finish our drink before that happens. But they disintegrate.......leaving no waste.
Apparently, even their balloons are magic...since in the real world, latex balloons take up to 4+ years to decompose. The amount of misinformation in this short thread is amazing.
Walt Disney World has one of the most efficient MRFs processing 30 tons of recyclables per day. This includes the soda and water bottles, compostable dining ware, and food waste.
Even latex balloons are composted. (takes about 4 months for them to degrade)
And always remember that a solution does not have to solve all problems. Some reduction is better than no reductions. Anything else is a logical fallacy.
In Britain, the British way surely is best. But when in the good ole’ U.S.A. we prefer ice, lots of it, and a straw. Some of us, tho still think the best water comes straight from the hose, and we’re still alive to tell the stories too!Which is why the British way is best: ditch straws and the unnecessary ice!
