If anything they will give you a discount like most other parks do.Fair enough. I would hope they would add the option into an AP. I have the top tier Universal pass and getting express after 4pm is huge.

Don’t bank on it.If anything they will give you a discount like most other parks do.
This is not TWDC moving WDW to MaxPass.
Now (or anytime in the foreseeable future) seems like a weird time to do anything with FP besides what they've already done, taking it away completely.Don’t bank on it.
Don’t bank on a large availability for paid FP should they happen either.
I would be in favor of that. I visit multiple parks a year and love paid fastpassesDon’t bank on it.

They may not be available for the regular guest. That’s one option.I would be in favor of that. I visit multiple parks a year and love paid fastpasses
Now is the perfect time not to bring it back in a recognised form. They have the time to work on what they want to do.Now (or anytime in the foreseeable future) seems like a weird time to do anything with FP besides what they've already done, taking it away completely.
Resort guests only then can purchase them. They may not be available for the regular guest. That’s one option.
That surprisingly hasn’t been mentioned.Resort guests only then can purchase them.
If its that restrictive to not include regular guests or resort guests then IMO they should just get rid of it.That surprisingly hasn’t been mentioned.
I'm trying to figure out who's even left to get it at that point. If its that restrictive to not include regular guests or resort guests then IMO they should just get rid of it.
One option to all intents for the regular guest will.If its that restrictive to not include regular guests or resort guests then IMO they should just get rid of it.
More and more I am really beginning to sour on Disney. Paid Fastpasses are one thing I can agree with but locking out regular guests is not right. One option to all intents for the regular guest will.
Try it. You might like it.More and more I am really beginning to sour on Disney. Paid Fastpasses are one thing I can agree with but locking out regular guests is not right.
There best bet would follow the Shanghai model. IMO fastpasses should me more limited in availability. A paid system does it best.Try it. You might like it.
Seriously, I don’t know which way this will swing. I know of the options that have been mulled over for a year or two now. Like I said some months ago, things are more likely to change somehow than not.
So as far as TWDC is concerned, MaxPass is an insufficient level of monetization for FP.I don’t get how Maxpass in Wdw would be any different than what we already can do but with photo pass added in. Am I missing something else? I enjoyed Maxpass in DL the 3 days we were there. Wouldn’t mind it since having the photos at the end the trip was nice. But I figured if Maxpass were to come to WDW they’d take away the included photos.
Maxpass sounds great for the open to close crowd, but sounds like it kind of sucks for locals. I miss the pre-covid days of grabbing a fastpass or two in the morning and hitting a park for an hour on a whim in the afternoon.I'm all for moving FP+ to Maxpass. My only question would be what options would people have if they didn't purchase Maxpass? In DL you still have an option to walk to a kiosk and grab a ticket. Most if not all kiosks have been removed now. I suppose they could use the current kiosks around the parks that help with FP+ but there's not many of them.
I'd guess they would need to re-install more kiosks in front of certain attractions or lands.
Sounds like some sort of “Alternative Access”So as far as TWDC is concerned, MaxPass is an insufficient level of monetization for FP.
MaxPass also wouldn’t work in WDW because there is no “free paper FP” to fall back on. The “classic” WDW FP machines/kiosks were retired many years ago.
Disney’s goal is to make as much money from FP as they can get away with. If you want to see what is in WDW’s future (and DLR’s), just look at what they’ve been doing in both Shanghai and Paris.
Previously, one of the challenges with implementing paid FP in the domestic parks was minimizing the negative attention / guest sentiment they’d get from removing an existing benefit.
Now that FP as we know it is gone “until further notice”, it is a prime opportunity for TWDC to overhaul and monetize FP without being seen as “taking away a benefit” since FP is already gone due to COVID restrictions.
