Two Spirited Quickees...Imagination closing

I hated both of those shows. Cringe-worthy writing and terrible acting.

The end of the Disney Channel began with the premiere of That's So Raven. After that, things started going downhill, fast. No more cartoons, no more Vault Disney (I was ed when all the classics from Walt's era stopped being aired), no more decent DCOMS (the last good one was probably the Even Stevens Movie), no more Mickey Mouse and certainly no more good shows. The shows nowadays treat kids like they're stupid. Anyone remember when Miranda had an eating disorder on Lizzie McGuire? Or the episode of Even Stevens where Louis and Tawny had problems telling each other how they really felt? I was watching The Color of Friendship the other night and the "N" word popped up a few times. Disney wouldn't dare to have content like that ariring, now. No, we have to watch shows with laugh tracks and stupid plots (Dog with a Blog.... SERIOUSLY?!).

The only good thing about the Disney Channel right now is Phineas and Ferb. But I miss Recess, Pepper Ann, Doug (originally a Nick show, which has also gone downhill), Goof Troop, Darkwing Duck, Duck Tales and countless others.

As you can see, I'm VERY disappointed with the current Disney Channel. Sorry for going on and on.

I don't watch The Disney Channel but I love Selena. Haha

Woah woah woah.

Disney Channel actually did this. So let's dial back the hate for about 17 minutes while you watch all of the ones that are out so far. Now you've each doubled your list of good Disney Channel shows.

The more I watch, the more I think the shorts capture Mickey's old personality but the less I like the artistic style. It looks like a weird grimey Cartoon Network show.

Not exactly hard to do:rolleyes:
There is a Yeti thread that is even thumb tacksd around here that discusses exactly what is wrong with the Yeti. It would be quite enlightening for you compared to the silliness on wikipedia. Or that article, which didnt actually reveal anything from the company point of view. Just sayin'.

The guest comments are good though, I would agree @marni1971;)

My only problem with good luck Charlie is just how BORING that Christmas movie was, if it didn't have such an impact on the show it would have been a totally forgettable experience.

On a side note, has "inside out" been confirmed as the name for "the untitled Pixar movie that visits the human mind"? Because I was sort of hoping they would keep the untitled thing!

Nearly half of all posts in this thread contain detailed analysis of Disney Channel shows. No wonder these boards are filled with incoherent and poorly written rants. I hope you're all watching from the background with your children and not actually tuning in by yourself because of an obsession with Disney. There is something very creepy about grown men and women recalling specific episodes and plot points of That's So Raven and Lizzie McGuire. Not to be rude but there are programs on other non-Disney networks that are meant for adults that I would hope you would all find more stimulating.

Yes, I see your point, but most of these posters are just out of childhood themselves, or are parents who like to sit down as a family and watch TV together. Kind of nice that way.

I'd still like her to see it at least once to decide for herself. I think the blatant Star Wars rip off is why I enjoy it (everyone knows how I feel about Star Wars, lol). She enjoys sci fi as well so I'd like her to see it simply because it's a classic. She can decide for herself whether she would have missed anything
Let her watch it here... and allow us and the rest of the Disney community to move on!

I would respectfully disagree . . . it is *so* easy to get a park hopper and spend time in DCA if you're already going to Disneyland. DHS is a much longer walk from Epcot, most tourists take the bus I would guess. So, I don't think that DHS's isolation helps it much, though it obviously is on property.

Yes it is very easy to get park hop between Disneyland and DCA and yet the only way to get to people to do that during the days of DCA 1.0 was to basically give away park hoppers. They dropped the Park Hopper price way down and there were countless specials for locals giving away a free day (hoping they would use it at DCA) if they bought a Disneyland admission. DCA still did not get a the attendance numbers when admission was bascially a free add on and right next door to Disneyland.

DHS suffers from many of the same problems that DCA 1.0 did. I believe DHS is a better overall park than DCA 1.0 but the underlying problems are every similar. The visiting patterns are different between WDW and DLR which is much of the reason why DHS has the attendance numbers they do. DHS would suffer the same fate as DCA 1.0 if it were across the plaza from Disneyland. At least IMHO.

*ding, ding*, you are correct! I don't think half the posts in this thread are about Disney channel shows. However, I learned that the one none-cartoon show I could tolerate watching with my kids has been cancelled. I just mentioned it and moved on. Side note: There is another message board that I've lurked on for years and never posted. The moderators are VERY STRICT about keeping threads on topic. It actually makes the message board much lamer.
