Gotta have some fun in our lives.

Err...what do you mean by Aladdin jokes (sorry if I'm being extra dense tonight...I'm. So. Tired.)

My first name is Jasmine, middle name, Raven (Aladdin came out the year I was born and my mom liked Princess Jasmine. My grandma liked Olivia from the Cosby Show, and so I was named after Raven-Symoné).

Guests would ask me where Aladdin was almost everyday.

I have a friend named Jasmine as well. After about the fifth time my dad cracked a joke about it I told him it was getting old really fast. Now if she brought up the movie, I would crack a joke. But not...randomly.

But that's neat where your name came from.

The timetable sounds to me like they're more than likely doing a wait-and-see approach to see how "Inside Out" does (the new Pete Docter film that has been the more prevalent rumor for Imagination).

I would imagine (pun intended) that there may be three concepts on the table:
* Inside Out
* Phineas and Ferb
* Classic Imagination revival and update

Initial word is that Inside Out is very, very strong. It may be a perfect fit for Imagination. If they can keep Figment in and add the Dreamfinder back as well, then it could be a win-win.

Sucks that they're holding out for another two years, but I guess if it helps the ride...

Anyway, nice job raising my level of anticipation for Inside Out even more. Pete Docter and Michael Arndt and an interesting concept weren't enough.

The fact that they're spending nothing at all to fix the freaking yeti makes me want to hurl. :p

If Wikipedia is to be believed:
The yeti is the largest audio-animatronic device built by Disney, and one of the most complex.[7][3] It is 22 feet (6.7 m) tall. Its "skin" measures 1,000 square feet (93 m2), and is held in place by 1,000 snaps and 250 zippers. Its movement is controlled by 19 actuators (when functioning in "A-mode", its full mode of operation). It can move 5 ft (1.5 m) horizontally and 2 ft (0.61 m) vertically when functioning in "A-mode".
The yeti has not been in full "A-mode" operation since a few months after the ride's opening, when its framing split, causing significant risk of catastrophic malfunction if it were operated. It currently only operates in the alternative "B-mode", which is limited to a strobe-light effect designed to give the appearance of movement, earning it the nickname "Disco Yeti". The problem was caused by damage to the yeti's concrete base structure, which is unlikely to be repaired until a major refurbishment in the future, because the design limits access to the yeti without major disassembly of the superstructure.

It definitely gets old. It was sort of fun when I was getting them at the park. I'd always respond with "At California Adventure" and they'd laugh. After a while it was getting slightly annoying.

Thanks, I like the story behind my name as well.

I hear ya. My name is Missy and my last name begins with El, so people called me Missy Elliott. I told them after a while I'd had enough.

It isn't hate for the characters, rather it is hatred for anyone thinking that P&F fit in the Imagination Pavilion in EPCOT's Future World. Being the "redeeming value" of the Disney Channel doesn't exactly make it sound that great, nor does that make it a good fit for a long term entertainment solution to a theme park. That said, It does seem to be a cute show that my little cousins like. It does NOT fit, however, in the Imagination Pavilion or anywhere else at EPCOT.

While I can totally agree that attractions shouldn't be based on television shows, the entire premise of Phineas and Ferb is using one's imagination. Other than the fact that it's a Disney Channel show, how exactly would they not fit in a pavilion about imagination?

That actually is sad. It was the only other decent show left. Certainly the only sitcom left that wasn't written solely for twelve year olds.

The reason I stopped watching Disney Channel once I got to High School...everything is for 12 year olds. It never used to be that way. Sad.
