How about Tennessee Bear with the 80's style EPCOT space helmet on as a new spokesman for the TTA.

I think it has potential.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
I'm fine with the changes (not enthused, yet, but fine), though I'll be bummed to ride it without the chime...

Well I was hoping they weren't going to change the audio, but oh well. Tomorrowland isn't sacred to me anymore, so why not change the TTA audio in my mind. I don't spend a lot of time in the land anymore anyways. At least the new audio will be accurate to what is currently there, even if that is a negative in my own eyes

Alas, while the thought of character voices are rather unsettling, I would want to hear it first & then truly judge it. :)

Another update via the patented Martintext system.
He reports:
TTA has all new audio as of today:
-A male voice
-Some area loop bits
-Goodyear theme or Monorail song near Epcot model
-Character voices above attractions

Enjoy!

Oh man. Seriously? The death of Tomorrowland? Ha! Whatever.

Anyway. I'm looking forward to hearing the new audio soon. I remember the soundtracks from the past, too, and I liked all of them. I'm sure I'll like this one, too. My favorite is still ORAC-1, the commuter computer from back in the day.

There are two ways I look at this:

On the POSITIVE side, the old narration is from 1994 so it was time for something new. The "Buzz Lightyea" segment always felt tacked on and didn't make any sense since you hear it wayyy before you see the actual ride and I also feel that Disney should make an actually futuristic Tomorrowland rather than a retro one.

On the NEGATIVE side, it adds more charecter tie-ins in the park, it guarentees MILF and Stitch are now going to be here for a looooonnggg time to come, it also breaks up and destroys the 1994 New Tomorrowland theme.

You will remember in my first post in my "All magic kingdom, all the time" thread I reported that WDI was moving towards a new tomorrowland so I guess this is one more step in that direction (the lamp was the first). I just hope they redo the whole land and junk the whole 1950s retro theme since it makes no sense at this point without the TTA, timekeeper, and A.E.. I also really doubt the refurbished space mountain will have any connection the retro tomorrowland and instead represent whatever theme the new new tomorrowland.

It's probably headed in the direction of the original 70s FUTURISTIC tomorrowland which I can't really say is a bad thing.

Also, this new narration seems pretty much identical to what Disneyland's Peoplemover had before it shutdown. Will TTA go back to the original name "Wedway Peoplemover"? Would be interesting since most non-WDW fans refer to it as the peoplemover anyway.

Very mixed fealings but I won't make anymore crazy statements until Space Mountain reopens so we can see what the intent and vision for these projects is

Any word if they renamed the attraction back to Peoplemover now that the 1994 Tomorrowland theme has been droppped?

Get real, man, they're not going to do that. The theme of the land hasn't really changed, the quality of the content has just dropped. The only real reason to bring the name back would be to place emphasis on its viability as a real transportation system, and you're nuts if you think this company is into that anymore.

I agree with most of this, but I don't see how the new narration guarantees those attractions to be there.

The audio is easily changed, even if Disney has not done what should have been done over the past couple of years with keeping the audio updated.

Short of a demolition of the theatre, Stitch is staying (as bad as it is). And I never had a problem with MILF, and I always see people leaving having had a pretty good time.

The theme is not that important so long as it remains cohesive.

The more I think about it the 1994 narration was a ripoff of star tours using pages and different voices chiming in every few seconds. It even recycled a Star Tours line (Paging Mr.Morrow, Mr.Tom Morrow). I did like all the homages to old rides on it though and I loved the sci-fi retro buck rogers/Metropolis style of it. If Alien Encounter was the head of New Tomorrowland, the TTA was definetly it's heart.

I also prefered the ORIGINAL 1994 narration to the re-edited version that has been there for the past 8 years. The original had much more dialogue, some alien music, and it didn't have that annoying buzz lightyear segment. Of course when Timekeeper and A.E. closed and Fed Ex dropped Space Mountain they kind of had to re-edit it.

I hope they are at least going to add a Timekeeper + nine-eye scene somewhere on the peoplemover track even as static figures in a display window.

I guess this is a positive change in that the peoplemover is now actually a tour of current Tomorrowland again (would be the first time since the 90s lol) I'm just concerned with the quality I hope it doesn't have the charecters behaving obnoxiously on the soundtrack and I don't want dialogue like "Remember how easy it was to learn your ABCs???" and "I think I oiled myself" if it doesn't have cringey dialogue then I will deal :D
