We've been there a couple of times, so decided not to go in this time. Plus it's like a hour long hike up the hill unless you pay for and can get onto one of the busses or carriages. We focused on Linderhof this time, and herrenchiemsee tomorrow.@Songbird76 Love it! So Disney themed.
You didn’t go into Neuschwanstein at high season?? (Just kidding - my husbands favorite part of Soarin is pointing out the line of people on the bridge ‘to see that tiny castle’ )
In the mountains of my state you can go gem “mining” - which means that you buy a big bucket of rocks, and sift them through a water flume to get raw gems. Then you can pay to get them turned into Jewelry. Ive had amethyst and blue topaz turned into rings. This time I went for Citrine. Here’s the before and after.Today was the natural history and technology museum.
That's very cool! On our last couple of vacations in Wyoming, we picked up several rocks just from the ground. We've got some quartz and E got some tiny little pebbles that she turned into earrings and a couple of other rocks that she bought at a shop and turned into pendants. She got a moss agate from a friend of mine and she wire wrapped it and it looks amazing. In the mountains of my state you can go gem “mining” - which means that you buy a big bucket of rocks, and sift them through a water flume to get raw gems. You can arrive late! Or if that doesn’t feel good to you, swing by a blue umbrella and see if they can help. Or you can try again for the 1pm queue. Have fun!View attachment 806393Fast fingers at the Delta lounge in Michigan! Too bad we’re not going to make that early!
I know!!I can’t believe he is old enough for preschool!
That’s a cute idea!I ended up (at first unintentionally) taking a first day of school picture of my DD standing by the front door. It ended up being a great way to see her grow up because I had the door handle and the peep hole to use as comparisons from year to year.
That’s the hope! I know he would have loved a character backpack, but we decided we’d rather get him something simple and durable that will last him a long time. You will never regret that LL Bean backpack @k8einwdw ! My daughter (a senior) still has hers from preschool (she doesn't use it anymore, not since she started middle school, but still!). I finally gave my son's away - it was still in great shape.
