Yep. This is what we saw in the finale renders from @SplashMountainArchives. It's nice to see everyone finally realizing how incredible this ride is going to be and why I've been following it so closely. I will say though, I'm shocked we got this big of a reveal before the opening date.

If all 17 Critters are in the finale on top of Louis, Tiana, Naveen and the other 7-8 characters WDW's Finale is looking at a animatronic count higher than splash had

On a side note, they sure had a lot of animatronics they were working on outside of TBA that seemed out of place. It could be as simple as replacements for aging ones, but I also wonder if they’re working on upgrades to current AAs in the parks.

Ok as a self-proclaimed Splash lover and TBA skeptic I'm officially excited now. These are leaps and bounds better than previous animatronics, and the Louis one actually blew me away.

In the corner of this image there is an animatronic figure that has a similar body shape to that of Louis the alligator. The video also teased the introduction of a "new character" perhaps in audio animatronic form. We will see tomorrow...

I’m not assuming anything. They are in fact superior AAs. Lol

Which is funny because this time last year splash truthers were claiming they were going to be cutouts rather than AAs in the ride.

That’s not a fact, that’s an opinion. There are some older animatronics that are found to be favorites or more realistic then some modern ones (looking at you FEA); not to mention aesthetically pleasing is in the eye of the beholder.

I am not a “truther”, and not sure your need to use that term, as it seems snarky and trolling. This isn’t binary like you’re trying to make it to be; I will really miss SM, and its uniqueness and fun as an attraction, but am I also excited to experience TBA and see these animatronics in person as well. It’s not either or, there is no need to claim factually that EITHER attraction is better. That’s an opinion. It’s my sincere hope both stand out for high quality.

This is true, but in the sense the attraction that you loved does not exist anymore, the company made it so.

A theme park ride medium is not the same as a copy of your favorite film that you can watch when you don't like the remake.

I did love both. Admitting one aspect of the new ride is superior in no way means I no longer love what came before. It’s not an either or thing.

Again, that’s an opinion, not a fact. For some better means more aesthetically pleasing (I find these animatronics to look good about equal to Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox in terms of cartoonish and reflective of the animation medium in a visually pleasing way, yet realistic in movements). Advanced perhaps in the parts they use, but plenty of older animatronics carry realistic movements despite having older parts and what not.
