I rode it for the first time last night.

Not unexpected, there was stuff broken.

I noticed some things -

Eyes not blinking on at least one animatronic.

Mouth not moving on at least one animatronic.

In the lift tunnel going to the main drop just a white light; no fog, or color.

But my overall experience is that the attraction is fine, I don't hate it, don't love it.
Fine.

Not a word that really inspires excitement in an attraction that replaced one of the greatest themed attractions of all time.

Fine.

What’s even worse is that people here said Disney would dare let this attraction fall apart for years because it would be a bad look.

How long was everything working for ? One week?

Sadly, this is where we are. Disney’s gonna do what Disney’s gonna do.

On the bright side, and I said this way before this reskin, it will still be a fun log flume ride and it still is.

Yeah I guess. But it’s like owning a Ferrari and trading it in for a 1990 Ford Mustang LX.

Yeah you still have a sports car but it’s not exactly the same.

Of course they are. They're a bunch of shills at this point. There was one article I saw a few months ago that dared to criticize the parks, but they've been extremely pixie-dusted for a long time now.

Really don’t notice the same thing when I view their content.

If you watch their live videos from the park, most the time it’s Dusty pointing out all the issues, complaining about galaxy’s edge, burnt out bulbs, show issues, etc.

He can be quite cranky most times, and has openly been critical of the laughing place section, lack of conflict, and ride story.

Not even. The 'official' preview POV by Disney has Tiana and Paw Paw malfunctioning in the Rara scene. They're both minor things, but things you'd think they'd have figured out before they filmed the video.

In fact, this was all off the POVs uploaded during the first day of previews (when it worked)-
- Louis' mouth isn't moving in the first inside scene.
- PawPaw's hand isn't moving in the Rara band scene.
- Tiana in that same scene seems to have trouble moving her head and arms (Already pointed out)
- Tiana only talks right when the boat is at or almost past her (Both in the upper level)
- Mama Odie screens seem to have trouble syncing with boats arriving at the dip drop and final lift. I've seen a few cases where she either speaks too early or late
- A few lights are out in the finale leaving Timon the Otter in the dark.

I WARNED YOU!

They're trying so hard to be this

Except the Splash figure is cute and charming, even if someone isn't the biggest fan of Funkos.

If you surveyed a hundred people who had no idea of the retheme and the controversy surrounding it, I’d wager the vast majority would find the Bayou Adventure figure much cuter and more charming than the Splash Funko.

Really? You couldn’t hazard a guess that they’re from among the animals featured in the attraction? What else would they be?
You mean the animals they wrote entire books about and then have us zip past in the blink of an eye and don't even have them contribute to the plot beside stand there? Color me shocked nobody remembers them,

This is just silly. One can prefer Splash to Bayou Adventure (as I do) without pretending that people are going to be confused as to who these characters represent. The whole ride is about rounding up critter musicians. Seriously, where’s the confusion? Why play dumb when it’s perfectly clear what’s going on?

meaning I don't recognize the characters from the movie...or any other media I have seen....They are not plotline characters that everyone recognized from Splash... I don't know their names, whet they do or why they are important...or riding in the log...except you say they are in the ride. Aside from Louie, Tiana , Odie and her snake and a few characters in the last scene, I have no idea who any of those other characters are. And Tiana is so off model she doesn't look like the character we know either... Maybe in time people will recognize these characters...They could probably be sold in a Six Flags park that has a log flume and no one would know or care who they are...

I very much doubt the plan is for people to recognise these characters in the sense you're suggesting. They're meant as a general evocation of the ride's critter population; one doesn't have to know their names or backstories to get the point of the figure.
