I'm not all that worried. It seems as though things may be almost to an end (hopefully) but they are still talking about the possible evacuation of local schools and public buildings as well.. BTW, I heard on the local news that WDW is also taking special security precautions though they didn't go into specifics..

That local base I was talking about is in a state of "Delta" emergency which is the highest level. They just said on the radio that, that's a signal of eminent war. There may be more going on than the media is aware of... It's really hard to say though, just like everywhere else, all kinds of stuff is coming in, some true - some not.

Flight that crashed in Pittsburgh was a United flight from Newark to San Francisco. They believe that it is not related to the attacks.

This could be just the begining.

Local base security just elevated from Defcon Delta to "Forced Protection Condition Delta" I don't even know what that means but they said Defcon Delta was the highest security level....

Reports that Palestinians are celebrating the attacks, chanting "God is great" and handing out candy to passers-by.... Arafat has condemned the act...

IMPORTANT FOR US RESIDENTS:

American Red Cross is asking people across the country to make appointments to donate blood because supplies will be short for a while...

The little thigs are starting...my husband is training Navy residents...I suspect they might be gone soon! Also, I just got a FedEx shipment...might be the last for awhile. This is going to affect us all, in both tragic, major ways, and in all the little things we take for granted!

THERE ARE 16 US WARPLANES IN THE NYC AREA...TWO OF THEM JUST BUZZED OVERHEAD. WOW, DOES THAT BRING BACK BAD MEMORIES.

Yes, I've heard this also. For some reason ATC cannot locate the plane.
