This is terrible! (Thread orginally posted 9/11/2001)

As I have been telling my co-workers here. It is not wise to wake the sleeping giant. The US is a VERY diverse group that usually is focused on many different things. We are not to be triffled with if we can all focus on one thing, JUSTICE. We have been stung but that wasp will be bug goo before too long.

Sears tower has been evacuated, several buildings in downtown Indianapolis have been evacuated as well. And to think I was supposed to be on an ATA flight to Puerto Rico tomorrow to talk to their Department of Insurance on Thursday.

As bad as this was it could have been much worse. Thank God it wasn't a chemical weapons or nuclear attack. It could have taken out the whole city.

For as little religion as I have (lapsed United Methodist), my thoughts and prayers are with those injured, missing and their families.

God speed to all.

As an EMT and a firefighter.........i am struck by this incident...especially having to do with the triage that you have to do in these mass casualty incidents...who do you treat first...

Dan

They said that that's the easy part now--they are just sorting into "dead" and "alive" groups at the moment...

They said that chemical or biological warfare is the biggest threat now and that's what the officials are checking into...

There is a report out of Cleveland that they have a plane on the ground at the airport with a terrorist on board with explosives.

Thank you for helping keep us all informed of what's been going on, Tramp. Hopefully the next time we see you it will be under •slightly• lighter circumstances...

Guys just seen the events of earlier on tv, and what can I say. I feel sick to the stomach.

The USA is a great country with wonderful people, and however you feel now, you will come out of this stronger, and more determined than ever. Justice will, I am sure prevail, in time.

These people may have won the battle for today, but they have not won the war. Those people who have lost their lives, will, I am sure, not have lost them in vain.

Again, my deepest, deepest sympathy to all of you on this board, and your families, especially my good friends (you know who you are)

Thank you, Mark.

You know, people talk about how insensitive and rude people in this area are....I wish you could see the sacrifices people are making and the outpouring of compassion here.... People are walking downtown to donate blood... Volunteer emergency workers from all over have started to arrive...
