They can't put anything behind Everest without having to finish the exterior of the mountain on that side. So, "not gonna happen, wouldn't be prudent at this time".
Not that anything is actually being built on that plot, but the side of Everest that would be visible from there is a completed side.

Ikr it is a shame. That could possibly be the best counter to Harry Potter after Star Wars.

I think it's a shame too. I couldn't believe Disney let Narnia go. Although I didn't really care for the Prince Caspian film. And I wish the movies had been animated instead of live-action.

I AM looking forward to The Silver Chair though. I just hope the movie producers do Puddleglum justice...

Why did they give up after two movies? I really enjoyed them. Now you have me curious of The Silver Chair.

I think what happened is that Disney and Walden Media, which helped make the first film, got into it over money, and Disney cut the cord. Plus, Prince Caspian didn't do all that well at the box office. And...sometimes I think Disney might have been uncomfortable anyway with the Narnia books' Christian overtones. I do know that Disney didn't announce the first Narnia film until Mel Gibson's "Passion of the Christ" did blockbuster business. I can't help but think there's a connection there.
