What the heck happened???

Did Agents of SHIELD just become one of the best shows on television after lingering in mediocrity since October???

Seriously, that was a fantastic episode and finally felt like part of the MCU!

Want to know how they did it? They wrote the episode to reflect what was going on in the MCU, and not just have an Asgard artifact of that could have been uncovered if Thor 2 happened or not.

I ran the full gambit of emotions on more than half a dozen characters in a single hour.

Agent Hand....

Best episode of the series so far -- and the past 4-5 episodes have been getting *much* better. To be fair, I thought the fall run wasn't nearly as bad as some here have claimed. TV shows like this take 8-10 episodes to catch a stride. People keep comparing Arrow to MAOS -- and no one seems to remember that Arrow blew donkey chunks for the first year, until their 'undertaking' -- which was only marginally better (really quite cheesy though).

I think, at the end of the day, last night's MAOS is a hint of things to come. They were always thinking the long ball with a Cap tie in...and the fact that we were made to wait for it is great. It made last night's episode that much more special.

The next 4-5 episodes will likely center around Coulson's world getting upended -- and that's a good thing. When the show centers around him, it has an anchor. The show was at its lowest when we saw May and Ward He'ing and She'ing.

Question: I haven't seen the last SHIELD episode (on my DVR right now) and have not seen Cap America 2 either. Should I wait until I see the movie to watch SHIELD? Would it spoil the movie to see the TV show episode?

It might. If you are planning on watching the film, hold off on the episode. I don't think it'll spoil a TON, but I think if you have the choice, I'd choose to watch them in order. I do feel it added to the episode of SHIELD to have seen Cap 2.

Yes I would watch the movie first. It will make a lot more sense and actually the episode's events happen concurrently with events in Cap America 2. Plus the movie's events influence how you view the show as a whole.

So yes I would suggest seeing the movie first.

I'm sure by 'Universal's growth', you must be referring to a few of their new rides. Any physical growth is still stymied by the constraints of being severely landlocked. Google Earth reflects what little land is left is being used up by their expanding hotel footprints.

You are correct! Ever since they enacted that new rule and law that Universal is not allowed to purchase additional land. Really sucks for them. I did hear that they have discussed making one of the parks multi-level. That way it could......

Are you really oblivious to the fact that Universal has already purchased some land and is/could be ;) in the process of acquiring more? Unlike the urban sprawl of Disney Universal has had to plan efficiently but I think you will be surprised over the next few years what they come up with. If not...keep snorting that pixie dust!

And shows don't need to take 8-10 episodes. That is poor organization. There wasn't enough exposition in the first dozen and a half to fill 2 episodes.

I believe the original post was sarcasm.
Well it honestly didnt noticed any of it.

Remember we had this guy before who really was fixed in saying that HP hardly was important in therms of story to stay longer than a mere decade.

I will have to watch but honestly.. after watching a lot of episodes and falling asleep in most of them is a serious weight on my head.

DO NOT WATCH UNTIL YOU SEE CAP 2.

There are more than half a dozen HUGE spoilers unleashed in the episode.

question.. since when the series started to be good? so I can skip most of the dumb episodes and start seeing the good thing.

'Improvements' would have been a better word to use but by 'growth' I wasn't referring to the resort's physical size, I meant how it has grown in terms of the quality that it now offers and how Comcast have sought to improve the place.

That's who I was referring to, apologies if I wasn't clear and you thought I was serious about Potter being a fad.

Just watch the last two episodes. Please do not torture yourself with the pathetic Lady Sif episode. There was an episode that explained what happened to Coulson, but that was a horrible letdown.

All you really need to known is that Skye was almost killed and brought back to like like Coulson through some special formula.

Remember... watching a blu ray on a LCD gives a very different look compared to film in the theatre. Try watching LOTR on bluray and often the background stands out as so artifical it's distracting. But it's not something you saw on the big screen.

Saw it in my home theater on a 120" screen using a professionally calibrated projector. Still looked terrible. I'd rate the CGI as a little bit worse than LOTR-FOTR. But I digress.

It was a movie released in 2001 with a smaller budget than the subsequent movies in the series. By 2014 CGI standards, it doesn't look so great, no matter the method of projection used.
