Thank God i wasn't the only one who thought that movie got by on reputation alone

Imho, movie was good.. but not OSCAR level.
Neither is FROZEN.

Remember... watching a blu ray on a LCD gives a very different look compared to film in the theatre. Try watching LOTR on bluray and often the background stands out as so artifical it's distracting. But it's not something you saw on the big screen.
the CGI of LOTR is still vastly superior to some of the CGI used in HP.
I really hated that giant "RAT" thing they claimed it was a "werewolf" in the third movie.

Lotr had better cgi because they didn't overuse it. The hobbit however is a different story. The cgi looked awful and Peter Jackson used plenty of it.

I've seen almost whole pages that talk about sandwiches

Yes, but they are sandwiches of substance! ;)

Exactly. Sandwiches are very important to a healthy body and Spirit. They sell sandwiches at WDW, btw ... UNI as well.

And guess what I had in O-Town on July 4th? Subway. ... and it was so much better, and cheaper, than the crappy barely edible grub I had later that night at the ABC Commissary.

Hey, if you're going to the ABC commissary, you're asking for it! The BBQ at Fairfax Fare is far better than most quick service options in the park. The stuff at Backlot Express is at least consistently edible.

The Commissary's menu *appears* to have decent options, but it's essentially equal to ordering "Couscous Quinoa & Arugula Salad with Chicken" at McDonald's.

I was surprisingly pleased with our dinner at Hollywood and Vine this past trip... The food was of a much higher quality than previous trips. Maybe we just got lucky.

You're going to have to revitalize this one. It's 100+ pages behind the 7th one.

Perhaps, I'll just use this one to talk about food since that became so popular and I love to eat!

But I don't see this one catching that one, not that it matters.

I might even start a new one this week since I have some WDW news to drop.

The problem was I was looking for food at 8:10 p.m. on July 4th when 80% of the food and beverage locales had closed early (DLP cues?) ... I am not big on the messy type of BBQ ribs and chicken thet now have at Farirfax and I sure as hell wasn't going to Pizza Planet. Those literally were the only options left for a park open until midnight.

But they shaved .04% off their labor cost for the day!

And that IS the whole point.

Like I have said elsewhere, Disney isn't just looking at pennies, it actually looks at fractions of pennies ... while say ... letting people shoplift merchandise at the parks because they don't want altercations, which drives me nuts ...

But please, don't try and get soda for life ... :D
