Initially I read that WDS as DHS, thought you were saying they'd announced that despite the Pixar/Star Wars speculation the work in DHS was actually going to be a second Avatar land for WDW, presumably with a Hogwarts Express type thing connecting to the DAK one.
That would be crazy if it was in DHS and DAK.

As soon as I saw a video was out, I got on the phone to find out if my CM person watched.

CM's will manage the guest passes, and have to set up all Guest pass FP+, they can't be assigned to another MDE profile even if they are already on your "Friends & Family" list. Normal procedure is you can have 4 days, up to 7 days in advance (like AP's have 7 days, at 30 days). If your visiting party will include someone with paid admission (like a local with an AP or a day ticket) everyone can make them 30 days, if your party will include someone staying on-site, everyone gets to make them at 60 days. CM and Spouse can use Magic Bands, guest pass users can not.

And everything starts on Oct 20.

 I just had a flashback to when Disney stated this is what the guests wanted and it would take the stress out of visiting the parks. :banghead:

Thanks for the info!

Tangent.... I need @ParentsOf4 's thoughts here.....

Does this Ebola scare (which is silly, we all agree on that) risk a significant impact on the tourism market?

Meaning, if we get a few Ebola patients showing up on airplanes, could this risk a post-9/11 slowdown for Orlando tourism? Or is that reaching too much?
Anything that makes people reluctant to travel could impact tourism (and the entire economy), which makes the market nervous.

The market is worried about a lot of things right now and Ebola is one of them. Whether up or down, the market always overreacts.

After peaking at $90.49 on September 19, Disney stock is down to $81 and some change right now. Disney stock is suffering from a lot of the uncertainty affecting the entire market.

Could things happen to impact WDW? Sure. Who wants to go to a crowded theme park when there's the possibility that "somebody" there might have a high-profile contagious and possibly fatal decease?

Has anyone yet cancelled their vacations? I doubt there are too many.

In a week or two, that could change.

That's why the market is nervous. They don't know.

Big update about the future of DLP on Disney and More. Big plans for WDS that could include Avatar Land depending on how it does in AK. http://disneyandmore.blogspot.com/2014/10/all-about-disneyland-paris-future.html?m=1

Interesting stuff there, and possibly giving some clues to what might be in the works for Orlando too. It would be great if it all happens, although Star Wars consisting of a megastore, restaurant and meet-and-greet is a bit underwhelming, but I didn't like the bit about Burbank insisting Paris gets NextGenned. Was really hoping Orlando would be the beginning and end of MyMagic+, but it seems Disney stubbornness is going to inflict it on European crowds as well.

You think Frozen is a fad (ya know like Star Wars and Harry Potter)? Take a look at what adding Anna and Elsa (and the lovely Elizabeth Mitchell) to the Gay Lost has done to ratings.
:hilarious: It's a shame I have to stop reading your posts half-way through, they're so insightful. But then you crack one of these jokes and I lose all focus! Thanks for the laugh!

Hey, remember when they at least tried to convince guests that it was for their own good? I remember some hodge-podge talk about Jack Sparrow saying your name or something silly to that extent. I'm just dying to see how it goes over with the European crowd. I'm guessing they're going to be FAR less cooperative.

imho, they could just skip Texas on the connection flights.

they are screening people for sick people now..

funny how things change to keep people on their toes, first terrorism.. now ebola.
We will have to board the planes naked and give full eye, body and blood scans by 2020!.

Well that's straight-forward! o_O

I challenge anyone to read the new policy, and then - without notes - explain to another person how it works without them getting confused.

Most CMs don't travel in 'parties' anyway, they just go to the parks with whoever is off that day, so I don't see how the new system is particularly useful.

"Hey, you know that new Flash we just started on TV? Let's reboot him in 4 years!" :banghead:
TV DC and Film DC are in 2 different universes, which is why you will eventually probably see Batman on Gotham. Cause you know, that makes a ton of sense!

Not only are the TV and Film universes different, some of the upcoming DC films supposedly won't take place in a shared universe. Shazam/ Black Adam staring Dwayne Johnson will be considered a separate film from the rest of DC, once again makes total sense.

Are you sure it's this In-N-Out Burger? I couldn't find anything online about any locations in the UK except for a one time pop up in 2012. Not to mention one of their hallmarks is very low prices - here in LA burgers range from $2.05 - $3.40.

Uh oh, I've had a bald moment, it's Five Guys that I'm thinking of. Still, it's a hefty old price for a bun and some compressed minced beef.

Never really been done on this scale before though without one of the properties being animated. If Flash becomes even an Arrow-sized hit, I could see it causing confusion, probably hurting the movie. And the new movie is inevitably going to be compared to the show. Wouldn't be shocked if the show ends up getting pulled early, after a season or two, which is a shame.
