So who thought it was a good idea to get rid of Box Office Mojo?

Spirited Thursday Musings:
It used to be that Los Angeles was the city of broken dreams, but I see just as much of that mindset in O-Town. No, moving near WDW doesn't give you a life. It may prevent you from having one, but that's it.
Yeah, this could be a problem... :/So who thought it was a good idea to get rid of Box Office Mojo?
Something has got to give at some point.
I love Fincher's work but am relieved this proposed project never worked out. Some films just shouldn't be remade, 20,000 Leagues is one of them for me. I don't think even Fincher could get a performance out of an actor that could equal, never mind emulate, James Mason's Captain Nemo.
It was a lot more recent for me, in fact, there are still great restaurants on property, just none in the parks. Sanaa, and the wave are 2 of my favs. Other than that, I'm right on board with you.
I wouldn't dream of getting the dining plan again. That was a perfect example of how they took something pretty good and completely ruined it.
ABC is routinely third in ratings... They grew light a lot of questionable shows, meanwhile it seems CBS a rarely picks one unworthy of being in their lineup.
Agree - The DDP especially the DxDP was an outstanding value for years and it allowed you to basically eat your way through Disney, But with the decline in quality there are very few places I want to eat at Disney anymore most of it is food you can find at the local Golden Corral or Sizzler if you go 'Disney Upscale' now its a cash grab only because the underlying VALUE has been taken away.
Most of this of course is because all the business units are now separate profit centers so they all focus their efforts on improving their respective 'bottom line' with no regard for the guest experience.
Don't forget Monster Mansion/Plantation being the best dark ride that's ever been built at any Six Flags.

I thought you'd enjoy this: it's now scientifically proven that Internet trolls have...issues...

For the years I enjoyed a CM discount, I didn't understand the online complaints about the dining plan. It seemed great to me because I only paid about $28/day. Now I work elsewhere and would have to pay full price, and WOW! it's insane. I saw $68/day online. The food quality is decent, but nowhere close to $30/meal.
When introduced in 2005, the Disney Dining Plan (DDP) cost $35/night and included one Table Service (TS) meal consisting of appetizer, non-alcoholic beverage, main course, dessert, and 18% gratuity, one Quick Service (QS) meal consisting of non-alcoholic beverage, main course, and dessert, and one snack. And don't forget, it also has been downgraded quite a bit from what it first was. I think a lot of the complaints come from the higher price/less for your money factor.
The early version had 1 Sit-Down which included App and Dessert plus gratuity (though of course I always gave a cash tip too, especially with Free Dining - I mean, how can you get a bill for $200 at CRT wiped and not throw down some cash for the staff, unless your Lovely Lou Mongello), plus I believe you also got 2 snacks/day if I recall correctly. On top of that, very very few restaurants were 2 credits, I know CRT was not originally (and that was back when they were a la carte).
Even when you paid for it, back then I think it was like $37/day, and it was definitely worth it. Now that it's nearly double the price and they have cut the benefits so (though, I have to say, a lot of folks commented it was too much food to begin with, though that doesn't excuse the huge price hike), it's really just a pre-pay plan and not a "deal" - you actually have to "work" to make sure you get your money worth.
and food prices have been severely inflated to make the dining plan appear to be a good deal. When introduced in 2005, the Disney Dining Plan (DDP) cost $35/night and included one Table Service (TS) meal consisting of appetizer, non-alcoholic beverage, main course, dessert, and 18% gratuity, one Quick Service (QS) meal consisting of non-alcoholic beverage, main course, and dessert, and one snack.
This year, the DDP costs over $60 while the TS appetizer & 18% gratuity are no longer included.
When those are taken into account, the price of the DDP has doubled in 9 years.
Meanwhile, Median Household Income is only up around 15% over the same period.
