The Spirited Seventh Heaven ...

Pumbas Nakasak

Heading for the great escape.
How about I join Nemo 14 in trying to get somewhat back on topic, and circle back to something the thread author has touched on in a couple of posts. TWDC and possible strange bedfellows and their use of technology and influence on human behavior. A great article from today discussing Facebook, other companies and "mood experiments". (Mod please remove if link against rules).

Why would Disney need this, after all it is the self proclaimed Happy/Magical place so everyone will be giving it large. Surely?

Related to bands, I stayed a week at a beachfront resort which was offering bands for a $2 fee. They opened your room and I guess could be used to charge things to the room. I didnt get one, but it made me laugh thinking of this place. The resort was part of the Hilton Grand Vacation Club but I'm not sure if its rolled out at all their resorts or just that one.

Saw this on twitter yesterday. Disney's Hilton Head now has MM+ locks but does not have bands.

I think it's a hybrid, but it's ultimately a moving vehicle, so yeah, if it slams into something with people on-board, I'd expect a call from John Morgan*.

They can run it with about 3 cars, to minimize the risk of them hitting each other (which is what happened during media previews apparently), but the expected capacity was based on something like 13 cars running. I assume this is what the Spirit is alluding to.

not just Orlando, his ads haunt us down here in Fort Myers, at least you don't have the Fucillo car dealer guy up there.

I can't help but thinking that your kitchen could be featured in one of those Southern Lifestyle magazines and looks warm and comfy and everything is in its proper place and there's a fresh-baked pie sitting on the counter or island, if you have one.

Yes, I'd really like to see your kitchen! :)

Not even close. But, it is comfy, and will be even more comfy next month after I replace the corian counters with butcher block, and add an old fashioned sink with drainboard. Also painting it a warmer color. It's too hot for apple pie right now - or any baking. Just a bowl full of limes (it's margarita & mojito season) on the island.

Sorry to get off topic - enough food talk for today. ;)

RFID locks really aren't that special at all. I think by now at least half of the hotels I stayed in within the last hotels (two of them very budget, don't ask, it was for a good cause!) have already converted over to that system. And it is great, much more reliable than magnetic cards.

People need to differentiate between the use of RFID technology and Disney's NextGen program. RFID is part of that, but only a tiny part. MM+ is not just about door locks! Even putting the chip in an armband is not a novel Disney idea, I have seen that technology at a waterpark here in Germany 6 years ago.

This is one of the areas where those who sing the praises of the basic features of MyMagic+ show their unfamiliarity with other destinations. RFID keys coming to Walt Disney World was an inevitability, not some amazing leap forward.

Depends. Is it working?
It depends on how desperate you are.

Harry Potter Gringoits Ride is going to have issues when it opens... Just like Mine car had them just like test track had them etc. Does not mean the ride is bad or should get bad press.... Fact is when a ride opens like a new restaurant they need to be given time to get the bugs out... Dont expect perfection on day 1. Give them some time.

and Cook Out!

A couple years ago Bojangles made a MASSIVE resurgence in Hampton Roads ( I am not a fan of their food by any means, nor is most of the area judging by parking lot levels at any time of day).

A year ago Cookout made a big appearance and regularly has drive-thru lines stacked out of the parking lots going down the high way.

About six months ago Zaxby's started making an even larger appearance and is doing VERY well
