Well, besides plate spinning and oil rigging, what other talents does Norway bring to the table? Trolls that say, BACK! BACK! lol.

NOOR-VAY is kinda a silly land to include in WS. Don't get me started on that horrible gift shop with the stanky perfume/cologne emanating out of every pore of the building either.
They would resonate a lot if they were online saying infuriating stuff. :hilarious:

Just reading some posts here about Bob Weis. I checked out his Twitter feed the other day just out of curiosity. Boy, was it super political. I don't really care about those types of things personally (as people can say what they want), but was just a bit surprised. Just figured someone in his position wouldn't be so vocal in this area. Obviously, that was wrong to assume.
some are vocal because it affects their interest imho.

I actually knew about the history of the NFL, and I have been following the NFL since Super Bowl 21. Not all owners of the NFL are Billionaires matter of fact.

Mark Davis of the Raiders is worth around 500 to 600 million dollars. My favorite NFL team, the Green Bay Packers doesn't have Billionaire owner matter of fact. The Green Bay Packers are Community owned professional Sports team that is owned by stockholders. Instead of an owner, the Green Bay Packers have a Team President.

You don't have all you fact straight on why the Raiders left the Market a first place. The NFL forced the Raiders to move back to Oakland and the late Raiders owner Al Davis sued the NFL for that. AL Davis lost the lawsuit and the Raiders don't have a Billionaire owner as a result. Yes, do I realize LA had attendance issues with the NFL in the 1990's.That market is football market for years, but it always been for College Football.

While all the teams you mentioned were in LA, the sports media wanted the NFL to go back to LA for a while even before the owners wanted to move. ESPN has people in the past that wanted the NFL to go back to LA for years because of the market. Other Sports media outside of ESPN mentioned in the past on wanting the NFL to go back to LA also. The true fact with the Sports media for whatever sports thinks every big market needs to have a sport in it.

If there was a REAL market for LA Football I'm pretty sure that some team would have filled it by now yet with the exception of the Raiders who as you note were forced back to Oakland by the NFL, Both the other two NFL teams left of their own volition which tells me there is no real football market in LA, We just have a bunch of rich guys scrambling around to cash in on a real estate bonanza which will be taken from the little guys by the City/County of LA and resold to political insider(s) who will get rich selling it to the venue builder and the team. The economic benefits will be touted but the reality is a few hundred part time jobs will be created and the LA taxpayers will be on the hook for decades.

If this is SUCH a good deal let the team build the OWN stadium with their OWN money, Nah never happen

wouldnt he lose a lot of value by selling?
Id think he would make more money renting them to David's or something.

I'd make a small profit if I sold now, However DW and Parents/In-laws still like the resorts (but also have dumped THEIR AP's as well) so I'll keep until family says otherwise. If it was my opinion only which governed the choice they would have been sold already. But DVC is now a base to explore central FL rather than visit the parks.

Small idea of Disney's value problem, 3 families shared a GV on Marathon weekend (I paid) - we are all making typical university tenured faculty money they looked at Disney Restaurant prices and we decided we would eat offsite and in the room.

Disney's new marketing strategy for 'Wall St Dads" is insane because Disney does not have the quality expected at the pricepoint.

I believe they had a clown act and a spinning plates/magic act at one point. Norway's entertainment was one of the first things to be cut from WS a few years ago.
Although this seems a bit off subject, I thought I would share a little of what's been discussed. Below are the ones you've been mentioning and many others that have been cut and not replaced.
Norway had Spelmanns Gledje

The Fountain of Nations had The Kristos

Italy had Nova Era. Fortunately, they are still around and play at Disney Springs

France had Le Mime Roland who was excellent! - See image below (couldn't find a video):
mime_roland2.jpg

Storybook Circus had the Giggle Gang, Wowzer the Storybook Circus Clown and then a different Wowzer (the two different Wowzer performers might still be able to be seen on the Boardwalk, just not as clowns)

Disney's Animal Kingdom had the Village Beatniks - Outstanding! We just saw one of the performers at Magic Kingdom about 2 weeks ago...he is now retired. The one with the Zendrum in this video is still with the Jammitors
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nl6rtvNyk_w
Animal Kingdom also had a band near Finding Nemo the Musical, called the Tropicals
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5EKM0g3bjk
In DinoLand USA they had Smear, Splat & Dip
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHa3MbTyGfY
I could probably think of more but I'll spare all of you.

Good compilation. We can now add Mulch, Sweat, and Shears to that list as well. And don't forget Fife and Drum Corps at Epcot (or were they replaced by something?)

Always wanted to try to dig deep in the collective interweb archives and chart all the entertainment that has come and gone at WDW. Just to see if we have actually loss as much as we think we have or if we are all over remembering.

I remember the Kristo's... those costumes left very little to the imagination. Not that I would notice things like that. It was probably pointed out to me. ;)
