So, if you look over these lists, I don't see how Tokyo is getting so much more or better stuff than WDW in upcoming years. And, yes, TDL will be getting other stuff in 2021 and beyond, but probably so will WDW so let's compare it when that stuff comes around.

And even if you want to say that WDW has not had stuff in so long and is overdue and stale, the same is true for Tokyo. They haven't gotten a new ride in years.

The main difference in terms of attractions between Tokyo and WDW is how much better Tokyo has been developed in the past. They build TDS as a complete park from the start, unlike places like DHS or DAK. So the baseline for Tokyo is a lot better. They also upkeep better and refresh things more regularly. These are all good and important things and I commend OLC for their investment and attention. I'm not pretending there isn't a significant difference in terms of how the resorts are right now.

But people who are swooning over the announced Tokyo additions, but dismissive of stuff coming to WDW? I don't get it. WDW is getting a bunch of new and quality additions in upcoming years (finally!) just as much as Tokyo is.

TDR, as far as we know, is still building Arendelle as well

Well, yes, they are still planning to build a Scandinavian port of call, which will include some Frozen stuff. But that's not until 2021 or beyond. WDW is likely to be getting additional stuff in that timeframe as well (rumors of updates for Epcot, potential "Phase 3" for DHS which might just be individual rides, possible stuff for MK's 50th).

For Tokyo you're forgetting the full fledged Frozen port at DisneySea and the Alice E Ticket in Fantasyland. The first one will be a huge sore spot for WDW fans for obvious reasons especially if the main E Ticket is cloned in Fantasyland at Disneyland. The second one just further proves how we got shortchanged with "the biggest expansion in Magic Kingdom history." After all is said and done Tokyo will have 5 E Tickets in their Fantasyland while we still only have 1. This is absolutely inexcusable. I would've gladly given up Enchanted Tales, Be Our Guest, and Storybook Circus for that B&tB E Ticket. Also, you know, longer Mine Train, better Mermaid, yadda yadda yadda. SC was barely any upgrade over Toontown Fair and at this point I would've preferred if Disney kept that area for possible future expansion (hello Frozen) and focused on the three other areas a lot more. I'm just really bitter about these two topics. So much potential absolutely wasted and flushed down the crapper.

Slight edit: Tokyo's Fantasyland will have 5 E Tickets, not 4.

So now that Universal owns DreamWorks it's only a matter of time before SeaWorld closes their Madagascar show in Busch Gardens Aflorica... is not what anyone is going to say, ever. In 2009, though, I bet everyone remembers how quickly Universal was going to drop their Marvel Land, right?

Its all depends on the contract. If it says Seaworld has it in perpetuity then Universal can't use it but it doesn't say that then Universal if they want will get it back.

I don't even have the energy to look up the TDR news.. let alone get excited about. Disney's glacial pace on things has beat me into not giving any @$%s until the thing is basically open. No need to chase 'plans' and spend more days talking about why things aren't done yet. They've beaten me into submission. Unless there are daily/weekly construction photo updates.. I really can't find the excitement in tracking Disney projects anymore.

I'd go tomorrow if I could. ... There are pros and cons about going at anytime ... and TDR will be seeing lots of work over the next decade. You just have to decide when you want to go and do it ... but please realize you will NEVER view WDW ever the same again. You just won't.

I'm not saying I don't trust you. It's just that things change. Or people don't pick up on the changes. I mean, phase 3 for DHS (and Star Wars in the Indy stunt show area) was still being defended by many until the day some new art came out... despite all of the signs over the last three months pointing otherwise. Btw, any new word on phase 3?

So yeah, I don't totally believe both the Alice and Frozen rides are still in the plans, but I'm dearly hoping they are. I do fully agree that this is a very positive announcement though. Extremely excited, as everyone should be, for what is to come in Tokyo.

An attendance goal being moved forward (from 2023 to 2020, in this case) is something we all should applaud.

No, it isn't. Frozen is absolutely not canceled ... it just will be later. ... Alice, I'm not sure about. But I do know there is more coming to TDL than just this (and just this would be considered HUGE if it were happening here!)

Phase 3 for WDW is only a possibility at this point.
