The Spirited 11th Hour ...

Did the extra magic 2am night thing thursday night. A guest gave my girlfriend and I 2 passes in line at BoG. She said that they were comped them for some reason and didn't want them, so free passes? Ok. The park was pretty cool at night mostly empty, rode about 15 rides in those 3 hours. Would I pay $150 extra for this experience? No. $25-$40 maybe. How bad does this have to be failing if I can just be wandering the park and some other park guest give me these passes out of the blue because they don't even want them I wonder?
EDIT: finally got to ride mine train. Expectations were extremely low. Pleasantly surprised. A little too short though, but a decent coaster from the back seat of the train. Better than barnstormer, I'd say on par with btmr on thrill factor... just my two cents. (Of course btmr theming is way better and more complete)

Glad you enjoyed it and yes, the $25-40 sounds about right for what the market for E-Ride nights should be.

Maleficent 2 is happening. And Emma Stone is playing Cruella De Ville. However positive Disney has 2 "original" live action films in development.

It will be interesting to see what Tim Burton does with Dumbo. Will this lead to a re theme over the Dumbo area at MK? Also, Emily Blunt has some guts to take on a fan favorite Mary Poppins when everyone will compare her to Julie Andrews. I hope Richard Sherman has some input with the music.

All I know is that with Tim Burton at the helm Pink Elephants on Parade is going to be freaky as.......... stuff.

And Jim Hill is reporting that the new name for Hollywood Studios is 'Cinemagic Kingdom'. Wonder if there's any truth to that?

Well, that might depend on what you consider "truth." I have a hunch where that came from, but not sure I'd put any weight behind it. We had a huge list of ideas for Disney Springs stores that was talked about, and some turned out to just be placeholders or ideas of the kinds of stores, and I have a feeling this may be a similar situation.

EDIT: Wasn't that name (CineMagic Kingdom) talked about around here before? I seem to recall it popping up in previous conversations around the name change.

Due to film competition, it seems comcast wants to get into the animation game now potentially adding a third animated studio to their mix under Universal (Laika, Illuminations, potentially Dreamworks). Will this affect Disney too much at the moment? Probably not but just noting while Disney may go into Live action these next few years, other studios are picking up animation.

They need to be stopped.

Are they releasing every Disney animation in live action format?
