The Spirited 11th Hour ...

Exactly. After seeing the movie, an action packed E Ticket isn't how to do this justice. What would the ride vehicles be anyway? A Pirates like E Ticket down the river with plenty of AA's, even King Louie, is how to do it. This should go without saying but they should avoid specific plot points from the movie except the songs.
... and to think Kali was originally going to be very close to what you have described, sans Jungle Book characters.

Yes!! Like the giant ape AA in Asia already! Well minus the strobe light... and it should move... so maybe nothing like the one we have already lol... have not seen the movie yet but it sounds incredible tryingredients to go soon
King Louie could be much more reliable since he wouldn't have to "move with the force of a jet taking off." Just make his arms and face move and there you go. He doesn't move much anyway unless you get him mad, lol.

One final update to the above.

Currently BV is sitting around 735 million domestic.

-Zootopia has another ~15 million (probably a bit more the way it is tracking) that it will make by the end of Captain America's release weekend.
-Disney's live action remakes have consistently performed very similarly to one another. Jungle book will have made ~260 million by that weekend (if it tracks like Oz, Cinderella and Alice), ~275 if it tracks like Maleficent.

That pushes BV over 900 million domestically for Captain America.

Needless to say, that "off-chance" that I mentioned at the end of my long post is a 100% certainty. They'll beat the historical fastest studio to 1 billion dollars by 36-37 days! They'll probably be looking at 1.1 billion by the end of that weekend (May 6-8th) in all actuality.

When I see how the dust settles we can get a good look at how fast they'll make it to 2.
To me it looks like Disney will hit the 1 billion on May 5. However that would require counting the Thursday preview for CA. Not sure they would let that count so the fastest to 1 billion will be 126 days. As for breaking NBC/Universals record from last year its a given. And based on what Disney has on tap the rest of the year it looks like they will break 3 billion North American total.

Making things more interesting is that the record for 1 billion dollar worldwide is 5 in 1 year. Thats is 5 for all studios. Disney is starting 2016 with 2 definite, Jungle Book and Captain America and maybe 3 if Zootopia makes it. (I think it will just barely make it.) That still leave a great slate of movies with a chance for Disney to break the billion dollar movies all by themselves.

What does this say for the future? Disney is setting so many records it is only a matter of time when they stop having such success. No one stays on top of the movie box office forever and whoever is the next CEO will have to face the inevitably of a falling box office. But it has been a great run and looks to continue through 2019.

Its funny because theres a few things in the EE queue that imply that the yeti is a descendent of gigantopithecus

Stock was up over $2 today, finally closed at over $100 again.
I look at the movies they still have scheduled for the rest of the year and I can't see them not blowing past 3 billion in box office. In fact one could make a case for 4 billion but then I know that is not possible in this economy. There is a limit to the total box office and that would be just over 12 billion this year and 25 percent is 3 billion. I just can't see any studio getting 33 percent of the total. There are too many studios and other good movies. But I am sure Disney will blow past the 3.

PS this is just for North America. They are already over 2 billion worldwide.

Some International Disney News: "The Jungle Book" is now the highest grossing American film in India of all time.

If you've been wondering how Alan Horn has been putting his own touch on the Studios, look no further than the company's expansion into local productions in foreign markets. It was reported in the Hollywood Reporter that Disney was going to resume producing films specifically for the Russian market. His predecessor Rich Ross shut down local productions in all markets with the exception of India with UTV, which isn't under TWDS' control. This follows similar developments in South America and the decision to revive the Buena Vista International name to distribute or produce titles in certain countries like "The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disapeared" in Denmark and "The Hateful Eight" in Germany. Warner Brothers, Alan's former employer, is well known for its efforts to distribute and produce local films for foreign markets; examples include their work with Pedro Almodovar in Spain and Flagship Entertainment in China.

While it's certainly not the most important news to most folks, I found it, and Disney's other international moves under Horn, interesting.

I don't think that Disney expected Zootopia to do as well as it did and had no expectations for Jungle Book at all. I was in a Disney Store today and they only had 6 ft out for Zootopia and zero for Jungle Book. They did have about 20 feet + out for Captain America though. Also still about 35 ft. for "the force awakens". That is about half what they had just before TFA hit the screens. What amazed me about TFA is that a good portion of that space was for adult type Star Wars items.

The Jungle Book for Animal Kingdom's next expansion. Not a whole land, just a great addition for Asia.

That does make you wonder about Chapek and his DCP replacement. Poor foresight. Poor succession planning.
