Overview
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is an Armchair Imagineering competition that began in 2013 on the wdwmagic forum hosted by jdmdisney99. Teams strive for victory in a series of unique Imagineering challenges. The losing team in most challenges enters the newly-rechristened “Cursed Courtroom.” In this room, nominated players from the losing team make their case for why they deserve to remain in the running for the ultimate prize of being named the next “Sorcerer’s Apprentice.”
Over the years, projects and storylines have combined to form the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Universe (the SAU). Teams have traveled across time and explored alternate Disney Park universes, all the while building friendships, attractions, even all new resorts!
But with Season 5: ENDGAME, an outside danger threatens to undo the entire Sorcerer’s Apprentice Universe! Can this next generation of Imagineers fight back?
Season 5 Official Teaser Trailer
Gameplay
Players will be divided into 3 different teams to start the competition. For each challenge, there will be a rotating Project Manager. The Project Manager can be used in any number of ways, anything from leading the project or simply acting as a supporting voice. It is entirely up to the player for that given round.
Once the projects are submitted, the hosts & judges will provide in-depth and helpful feedback to determine the rankings. The losing team’s Project Manager in most challenges will then nominate two (2) members to enter (along with him or herself) the “Cursed Courtroom” and make their case to the judges for remaining in the hunt. As the competition progresses, we will eventually reach the finalists who will face off in an epic finale to determine the next “Sorcerer’s Apprentice.”
Creative Challenges
As has become a Sorcerer’s Apprentice tradition, Season 5 will take us not only to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, but also to various exotic and international Disney Parks and Resorts, plus a surprise or two along the way. Each challenge will be unique, something not seen in past competitions. Additionally, each challenge will be broad enough so that every teammate may contribute. There will beseveral different possibilities for each challenge!
Vacation Days
Despite our efforts to make each challenge as accessible to contestants as possible, sometimes unavoidable Real World™ obligations can get in the way. For those circumstances, there are Vacation Days.
These are granted to each team at the start of the competition to extend due dates and accommodate for personal schedule conflicts. These days can be used once per round, or you can combine Vacation Days with fellow teammates and extend the due date up to 3 days for a challenge. Only one team can use Vacation Days per challenge, and when a team uses Vacation Days, the due date is extended for all teams. The exact number of Vacation Days granted will be determined later.
More simply put: If you need more time, let us know.
What’s Changed?
Season 4 brilliantly resurrected Sorcerer’s Apprentice for a new generation. With Season 5, we wish to streamline and improve on a fantastic model.
As before, this season will include guest judges, an illustrated storyline, helpful hints for each round, and more. But the primary focus will remain on core gameplay, particularly on the wonderful group dynamics which can form after several challenges together. This game is not about creating drama or causing hardships, but about strengthening everyone’s creativity and camaraderie.
Social Media
Following in the hugely successful footsteps of Season 4, for this season we are fine-tuning our social media presence. Instagram will highlight player-created artwork from past and current seasons, as well as connect us with a larger follower base. Vimeo will contain a collection of our narrative videos for the season. YouTube will be the host of stanza playlists, possible review formatting, trivia and games, and more.

Even so I'm sure the hosts would be open to a guest judge role or commentator.
There's no pressure you don't have to, if you're busy it's probably best to focus on that.Still not sure, my baseball season is coming up and im gonna be even more busy than i am right now, ill still keep you updated though!
Mainly pitcher and some second baseThere's no pressure you don't have to, if you're busy it's probably best to focus on that.

Nice! I used to be a pitcher as well (and first base/outfield) lefties are kind of limited to those positions hahaMainly pitcher and some second base
Ah, a fellow second baseman!! That’s where I started my baseball career (some third baseman, mostly second) before moving to RF/LF.Mainly pitcher and some second base
lol!The 'SA node'
Unfortunately it doesn't mean Sorcerer's Apprentice node, sinoatrial,...though fortunately everyone just calls it the SA node so it's easy to remember.

When you were up and running, you were an unstoppable beast! To add consistency to your undeniable skills, and you’d be the one to beat in Season 5.God I was a bit rusty last season, I had some ups and downs in terms of Consistency. I need to up my game for Season 5.
AWW Thanks for that. Consistency is my biggest issue in these competitions, and probably the biggest Popsicle I need to overcome for this season. When you were up and running, you were an unstoppable beast! To add consistency to your undeniable skills, and you’d be the one to beat in Season 5.
