Cinderella's wishing well on the path to right of the castle, its picture perfect, enchanting yet can be romantic and many people don't even know its there.

Seeing the welcoming Disney World sign definitely lets me know I'm there and gives me that great "Disney" feeling. But I would have to say the view of the castle from the statues. I could stare for hours!

Two places, two different spots -- the Adventurers Club at the (currently) defunct Pleasure Island and the Hollywood Tower Hotel rising out from the trees.

Gotta agree with you on that one. My last trip was a solo one and I remember just sitting on a bench and staring at the castle and the rest of Main street at closing for a good hour.
Especially after the park closes and almost everyone is gone..and just sitting there watching the last guests leave and not wanting to go..:)

We do that every time...Maggie is sleeping and we just sit and stare at the castle...so quiet and peaceful..it is really magical...:D..may sound corny but it is.:)

Well the first thing I thought about when I read the question, the first spot that came to my mind anyway was a spot I can only remember visiting once, well in recent memory anyway, you see, its been closed for some time now.
For my 15th birthday I went on two tours, one was the Undiscovered future world tour. On the tour we went up to the old imageworks and up there sat a bench out looking out the window. The guide explained it was designed to create an overlook as if Walt's vision of EPCOT was actually built. The rest of the group went off to mess with the pin tables and i stayed behind and sat on the bench. It was as if time stood still, incredible.

I have a few...

1. The end of Main St sitting on the curb looking toward the castle after closing when all the shops are still open.

2. The buses. The smell of the diesel and being on those buses inparticular bring back the feeling of being at Disney.

3. The entrance to Epcot. For some reason this was the spot that would always pop into my dreams as a child when I dreamed my family was at Disney World.

4. Monorail.

5. The entrance to MGM looking towards the Chinese Theater. The background music in this park is the best I think, I love that old Hollywood feel.

Just my shortlist. : )

Turning that corner in the Epcot Parking lot and seeing Spaceship Earth looming ahead of us does it for me. We're Here!!!!!!!!!!! Always our first park we visit and our last.

Even just seeing a picture gives me goosebumps. THIS is just Disney to me. It's the moment you leave real life and enter AWESOMENESS!

Ok, just seeing the sign made tears come to my eyes. I can hear the kids screaming and our "welcome to Disney" music playing in our car. We always role the windows down so we can breath Disney air. 52 days!!!!!

I have two:

The first time I see the monorail swish through the Contemporary's canyon and then when I see the floral/plant Mickey outside of MK. I know I have arrived and the days ahead are nothing but fantasy and fun.

My first thoughts are either Main Street with a view of Cinderella's castle, after all the spirit of WDW lies in MK.

When we check into the Car. BEach Resort.

When we get ready to load onto the Monarail.

When we walk into Epcot and we get to see Space Ship Earth up and close.

When you first walk through the entrance of MK and step onto Main Street.
When you walk under Spaceship Earth and stare straight up.
When you hear the Steam whistle and see the steam over the trees and hear "Good Morning" while waiting in that huge crowd.

Getting a bit antsy, cant wait to go back.

For me I know my cares in the world go away when I drive through that arch that welcomes you to Disney World. My second is seeing Spaceship Earth at EPCOT and tyed for third is seeing Main Street USA or The big Mickey hat at MGM studios now called HollyWood Studios. When I see these pictures I still get excited and want to go and play. If you ask me a 46 year old that wants to go and play and explore is a great thing. Nothing else invites me to do this like the Magic of Disney

To me it's standing outside villains in vogue looking down sunset blvd looking at TOT n knowing that RNRC is there as well, DHS is always our first park so that moment of wonder n anticipation is everything Disney stands for.

You're killing me. My only glimmer of hope is that my DW just gave me the grreen light to book for 10DEC10. By then, it will be almost 3 1/2 years since we've been to WDW.

BTW, my most "Disney" spot is standing in Japan, with my family right next to me, holding a beer from either Japan or Norway in one hand, a open faced smoked salmon sandwich form Norway in the other hand, and a pastry from France in the other hand? getting ready to watch the "narrator" blow out the torches just prior to Illuminations. Doesn't get any better for me.

Gotta be the Mickey made of flowers at the entrance to MK. I've probably seen 1,000 pictures of people standing in front of it.

You walk through the ticket gates and see the big flower Mickey and it's like "I'm here! It's real! It's Disney!!!" ...now lets go run and take a picture in front of it!:sohappy:

Ahhh...So many wonderful places in The World that "do it".:D:o

  • The Purple Entrance Gates- It's the momment you long for and wait for after so many months of planning, and thinking about WDW. Sleeppless nights, daydreams, finally culminate in passing into The World. Seeing The Earful Tower, EPCOT, The Swan and Dolphin...All of this finally makes it real.
  • The Poly- The quintisential "I'm on Vacation" feeling. The smells, sounds, and just immersive atmosphere is relaxing. I love getting a Dole Whip and waiting on the beach for Wishes.
  • The TTC- Again, sights, smells and atmosphere is what does it here. My heart rate sours, when standing on a platform, waiting for a Monorail, BGM and the rumble of a train fillung my ear, a castle in the distance.
  • MSUSA/ Hub- The heart of WDW. What is more fantastc than standing with family and friends before a huge Castle? This is the Nostaglia, the feeling, the magic, that disney makes so well.
  • FW West- Such a cool, sleek, and relaxing environment. Lush with greenery, cooled by the water features, and the most fantastic EPCOT backdrop of SSE, TL, TLS and JII. Classic EPCOT Center feeling here.
  • WS @ Twilight- Glimmering form the lightr of the torches, cooled by WSLagoon, and mysterious and beautiful with the archetecture of the continents, this is REAL magic. The atmosphere is perfect for what's to come- IllumiNations.
And this, ladies and gentlemen is why I love Disney. :o:sohappy: Makes me all the more want to go back soon. Hopefully I do.:D
