Out of all things Disney could be paying to advertise on Snapchat, they're letting us know they've been on the New York Stock Exchange for 60 years. Really impactful.
I remember the good old days when about the only things you could complain about regarding Disneyland were 1) the awful burgers and 2) Motor Boat Cruise.
Sometimes I get super frustrated with these boards and just want to step back for a bit....
Sometimes...
I agree about spending as much time as possible at DL, but there are situations where DCA is a nice break when DL gets insanely crowded. And, for me, dusk and nighttime in Cars Land (and eating outside at Flo's with the RSR view) is right up there with the best of DL.Personally, I have little desire to ever return to California Adventure. It's a solid park, but when you're literally 100 yards away from the greatest theme park ever built, to me it's a no brainer to spend as much time as possible inside Disneyland park.
wasn't that more or less the general area rumored to be the eventual Frozen expansion?? ::shudders::How would we feel about Storybookland going bye bye? I feel like it would be huge loss for DL and is a big reason why DLs Fantasyland is so charming. Anyway, someone on Reddit posted a “rumor” saying that Iger gave the green light for imagineers to reimagine Casey Jr, the Canal boats and the FL theatre. Now I could care less about the theatre but I feel that what Storybookland provides FL in terms of ambiance is unmeasurable. I’m bothered by this rumor not because I think the source is credible but because it seems like the type of thing the current leaders would green light as these attractions take up a lot of room and are both low capacity. Not to mention they are not IP rides, in the modern sense of the word at least.

I guess at this point, nothing should surprise me about WDI's decisions. The FL theatre yes but I’ve never heard that Storybookland was in danger. Other than those of us that speculate that it’s day left are numbered for the reasons I mentioned in my post above.

I'm always very skeptical when people cite a cast member they know, or the fact that they're a cast member as a way to strengthen the claim they're making.

I love both Casey and the Canal boats and totally agree that it gives FL it's uniqueness... On the other hand, I probably ride the canal boats once every 2 years and Casey even less (even with a young child who it's made for). Would be totally bummed to see such classic attractions go extinct, but I also think they're kind of just glorified landscaping/decor at this point for a lot of people taking up space that could do a much better job occupying guests. Probably not the popular opinion here, but I try to approach most of these things as a realist.
