Although possible, I don't think WDW will completely stop sales, at least not now. AP's are not the problem that they are in Anaheim. Disneyland is a basically a local park and it is overrun with local people. That area contains millions of people and they tend to go there, in some cases, every single day that they allow them to go. That causes high expense ratio to maintain everything and staff sufficiently when Disney is making very little per day to provide that entertainment venue for them. If the average cost of an AP is $1000 per year and they can use them say 300 days a year that means that Disney gets less then $3.50 per day per guest. The rest of us pay about $100. per day. How many go that many days, I'm sure is not huge, but it is probably possible. And the best thing is that those that go that often have a very small chance that they are buying food (that's what backpacks are for) or constantly buying bling. They are there for the social aspect only. I would take a guess that the average AP'er probably sugars off at about $35.00 per day. Disney has nothing to lose dropping that program because although they won't go as often, Ap'ers will still go and probably spend more then the $1000.00 per year but it will be for a reasonable number of days leaving the park less crowded, the wait times less and everyone (except X-AP holders) quite happy. Thanks, so it’s safe to say there no thread about Florida cancelling wdw ap thread? Weird because something like that I thought I would hear here first than on radio.
So mine expired two months ago but I never heard rumors till now or I would’ve naturally renewed.
