Both my Polish Great Grandma's were born in Poland.

Czech, German, and we recently found a little Russian background here too.
Both my pop and Megan have cruised ancestry.com.
All of my great grandparents are from the old country, and all of my grandparents were born here. All the great grandparents immigrated through the Port of Galveston just before the turn of the 20th century.
We mostly identify as Czech, as that is where most of our lineage comes from, and our moms maiden name and our last name are definitely Czech...!!!!! :hilarious:

Yes, I've seen that. However, only 6.7% of new cars ordered in the U.S. in 2019 were manual transmission. That's why the price is coming up. Again, it varies from dealer to dealer. I saw a car dealer on TV about 6 months ago, talking about this. Years ago, across the board the manuals were cheaper, but the prices are creeping up. Again, it's no issue to me at all, as I can't drive a manual anyway. 🤷‍♀️

Yep, I’m not goin’ to the mat on this issue either.
Traditionally is correct. An automatic tranny is way more complicated and expensive to produce/repair than a manual.
But, it seems, in this country anyway, they’re less and less desired, and therefore, less and less produced these days.
But, I know most purchasers of higher performance vehicles prefer them for their involvement in the driving experience, so that could be a contributor.
No matter how old I get, I just prefer the transmission/drivetrain interaction with my car...my favorite was my 5-speed manual stick ‘85 Mustang GT...that thing had sooo much off-the-line jump (low-end torque) it was awesome...!!!!!!! :joyfull:

So, My kid has a new baseball trainer this year for private lessons. The trainer he has gone to for the past three years is booked solid right now and I was undecided about doing it again so waited too long to book him.

T was not thrilled about having a new trainer when I told him, but he ended up really liking the new guy and it was a great session. He’s looking forward to going back.

Here’s the bad part-
The trainer informed me, that my kid’s $340 bat, Gifted to him last year in April by my father for T’s birthday... is No Good for him. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
He said I should buy a different size barrel. Like seriously??? I’m annoyed. T rarely used it last season, borrowing one from a teammate instead... Which is one of the main things I wanted to work on in the training session, getting him accustomed to his new bat and find out why he isn’t using it like he should be... Apparently the only solution is to buy a new one. I didn’t expect that.

Wow $340 for a baseball bat! I just can't wrap my head around that. :jawdrop: Why is it so expensive?

So we went to open gym today at the new gym. Youngest was there with 2 other kids from the other gym. They are all in the same age group. They had so much fun. There was also one girl who had been on the senior age group team and one girl who had been an athlete at our old gym last year but transferred to what will be our new gym for the current season. I have known her mom for about 8 years. The young ones tumbled together and then the 5 kids created their own stunt group. It made me so happy to see them working together. What was also nice was an older boy who trains there helped the girls with the stunts and acted like an extra spotter. So the kids all came out happy and we will be signing dd up for classes there starting next week. The coach who had been watching the kids came out to talk to us parents and said the girls worked really nicely in the gym. So while what happened really stunk, things happen for a reason.

Did get information on Medical results. They couldn't find what caused me to bleed going to the bathroom. I was told no tract infection and the Urogram didn't pick up any kidney stones. I had to schedule for a scope and it will be a few weeks.

The Urologist said I am not in danger based on the fact I do not bleed everytime I go to the bathroom. I know the first time I went to the bathroom this morning was the first I saw blood since Wednesday. That was the only time today I saw blood despite my going multiple times.

You sure you didn't eat beets or something with the red food dye?

Yep, blows my mind, as well. We had team bats way back in the day when I played Little League Baseball all the way up through Pony and Colt League. We had plenty of bats to choose from, and I don’t remember anybody havin’ their own bat...much less a $340 bat... :cyclops:
If your a good hitter you can hit a baseball with anything...timing and hand-eye coordination.
And, is it a wood or aluminum bat, ‘cause if you’re able to make it to the pros, it’s wood bats only.
