I didn't have the full week off, I worked Monday and Tuesday but I have a feeling with all these days off Monday is going to be a rough one. But my holiday crocs came on Friday and I like wearing them tomorrow will keep me festive.

I bought these for my DD during my November solo trip for her birthday. She hasn’t worn gym shoes since she slipped them on her feet. She loves them. I love that the wreaths light up.

I am a carnivore but I could never hunt. I lack that gene that can shoot to kill.
Just not wired that way. With very deliberate mind blocking I put meat and fish in my cart the same way I do broccoli or milk. I’d never get the picture out of my head of pulling the trigger myself or sending an arrow sailing.

I've been considering that for awhile now. A friend of ours has a dog, Fonzie, I think he might be a miniature greyhound(?) something like that. Anyway, he got very sick, high liver enzymes, prognosis was he would not live long. They started just cooking chicken and vegetables for him, and he's perfectly fine now. They got a specific dog diet off the internet somewhere.

I know my Kylie loves chicken. I was raised to never give a dog table food because they can't tolerate it - and I know most "people food" is bad, but I think boiling or baking a chicken can't be bad, right? It's the additives and spices and what not that are not good for the dog.

We were at 82 today, same forecast for tomorrow, but tomorrow night goes down to 48. Then we gradually warm up all week (highs in the 70's except 67 on Tuesday.)

Brian's bday is Tuesday. I started looking around for places to go, but I don't think anywhere is better than here right now!

And I'm last minute planning because he has only had Mondays off for the past couple of months. This week, he has Monday & Tuesday, and I just found out yesterday LOL.

Side note: he may be giving notice on Monday to the crazy guy. There is a definite offer on the table (same money, fewer hours, less aggravation - still no benefits, but I'll take the win) and an interview on Monday as well.

So he may end up having the better part of the week off (a lot of times in restaurant/retail, when you give notice, they say thank you but no thank you, and give me the keys.) But there's still really nowhere to go. I put in an inquiry for Marathon Key, but their weather will be the same as here. Kind of pointless.

Back up plan: Morton's Steakhouse? Never been, but heard good things.

I am shocked Purina wasn’t on the list. We bought Blue Buffalo also. May just go Purina. That is what our cats eat. The dogs actually like the cat food too. Guess they like anything they aren’t supposed to like.

I think boiling or baking chicken plain would be fine. I know there were a few times when we had sick dogs and we would boil hamburger and mix with rice, or a hard boiled egg. I think you are right and it is the spices that can be bad for them, I know garlic and onions can be lethal. Ironically, in Rachel Ray's magazines she often has recipes for making dog meals with real meats and veggies. Actually some of the recipes sounded tasty to me.

Our vet always said to give our dogs boiled chicken and frozen peas.

Our hunting season ends today. That's why our students didn't have school last week because of hunting there is usually low attendance, so we have inservice for teachers instead. It is a tradition for many families and friends to gather for deer camp, so like a big celebration/gathering. I've never gone hunting as it just isn't my thing and I don't care venison. But I'm hoping a lot of deer were gotten by hunters, that means less running across the roads!

That is different than my era as a student, but it could be region thing. I am from the South Eastern part of Wisconsin. Not a lot of students in my time missed school due to hunting where I went to school. At the same time, My parents were not hunters. I know there was some hunters on my mom's side in terms of her relatives.

Emy's snowflake is adorable... It's after Thanksgiving, so we are now allowed to wear winter/christmas items!

Made my first Jamacian Oxtail Stew today... I have to say I'm not a fan of oxtail (this is my first time having more than a bite) but the flavor of the gravy on the rice was amazing! I think this recipe would be amazing on stew meat or a roast!

One of my mom's friends has an iPhone 10. She asked me to look at something with it not long ago. It momentarily confused me, but I figured it out. She hates that there's no more home button.

My Galaxy S8 has no physical home button, but it does have the symbols at the bottom, which get hidden when playing a game or watching videos.

When I had my 2 Golden’s prior to Walter dogs and cats were dropping dead right and left and found to be an additive from China for flavoring. It was in food and treats. It was not individually listed on ingredients so everything was suspect.

I gave them human oatmeal with a bit of ground meat for breakfast. For dinner I fed them human dry cereal. Just avoid anything with grapes or raisins.

They were happy Pups.

One of my mom's friends has an iPhone 10. She asked me to look at something with it not long ago. It momentarily confused me, but I figured it out. She hates that there's no more home button.

I always thought I would end up an iPhone person after owning two iPod touches. Then I got into Android phones. Never, ever going back.

My Galaxy is the S8, which is an older model (I think two years old). No exploding battery. It was just that one model, and they resolved it. I was wary about their phones for a while (I bought an LG phone that year), but they seem to be without issue.

Oh, and I hit it on a sale and since my company has a relationship with Samsung, I got an additional discount, so I paid $325 for it. It currently goes for $500 unlocked.

Hunting is a bigger thing in my northern area. My dad and sister hunted but I wasn’t into it. Growing up not many of my friends hunted either, although plenty of boys I knew did. Now many of my students , both boys and girls hunt.
