Love the crocs! Schools here are closed tomorrow since it is the first day of hunting season. The city person in me just doesn’t get it.

Our hunting season ends today. That's why our students didn't have school last week because of hunting there is usually low attendance, so we have inservice for teachers instead. It is a tradition for many families and friends to gather for deer camp, so like a big celebration/gathering. I've never gone hunting as it just isn't my thing and I don't care venison. But I'm hoping a lot of deer were gotten by hunters, that means less running across the roads!

T just finished his seventh game of the weekend. Only one more to go!

They lost in the semifinal In one of the three basketball tournaments...The other two still go on next week and we’re still in. Semifinal of one of them is at 8 PM next Saturday. The same time as the big 10 championship game. :( We will rush straight home and start the game and hopefully catch up To live TV relatively quickly.

Yes, in all of the games this weekend!! He barely sat out at all. He talked to his coach on Wednesday and asked him to review the play calling.. then he went home and practiced dribbling around cones a lot this week...he looked like an entirely different kid Friday - today!! Had several rebounds and scored twice.

They only had two 1 hour practices prior to their first tournament game.. I think maybe he was just nervous and that’s why he looked like a deer in headlights. The stands were packed and gym is extremely loud, and he hasn’t played basketball in a year.. he seems fine from the second game on!

I actually have that buckle on a Philmont belt, and 2 patches (edit - ‘80 & ‘81 - can’t keep my years straight...!!!!!:hilarious:) like the items pictured below...unfortunately, they’re buried in a box somewhere in our attic and there’s no way in heck that belt would fit (although, I guess I could always order another one...?! 🤔) my ol’ fat self ever again...!!!!! :hilarious:
